I went to the Blue Mountains with Loka, our guide was the best ever! So energetic and passionate about her job, we saw kangaroos in the wild and amazing scenery in the mountains. You get a free drink and some chips after the tour! Really really good and affordable tour!!

Last weekend I did the Blue Mountains trip with Loka Stray Australia! The trip was absolutely amazing and our tour guide Alex was super enthusiastic and because of that there was such a good vibe within the group! She told us a lot about the blue mountains, several animals and funny facts. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend is to everyone!

I started the trip with one of my friends from home and finished with over thirty friends for life. Rather than the impersonal greyhound bus, with Loka you get friendly, knowledgeable drivers/guides who love their jobs. Because it is much more structured than the greyhound you tend to travel with the same group, in my case nine people that stuck together from Sydney to Cairns while others joined and left and reunited at other stops. A pocket of fantastic vibes and laughter that traversed the many sights of the East Coast- I cannot recommended any other way of doing it!

I travelled the East Coast with Loka back in Feb/March this year and I can honestly say it was the best decision to travel with them.As I was travelling alone for the first time, I was nervous but as soon as I got on the bus in Sydney I was fine! It was wonderful to be part of a group that initially stay together for 5 days then you can decide whether to stick together or move at your own pace. I met some great people on the bus - even if they did take the piss out of me for my 'old' age - I'm 28!The activities they organised were great - albeit some better than others (the River Retreat at Spot X was easily one of the best bits of my whole trip, the Hunter Valley wine tasting was a bit lacklustre) - but overall I went to places many of my well travelled friends haven't even heard of. You can pick and choose which of them you do and pay along the way. The actual travelling between places was so well organised too - the buses were comfortable enough and the overnight trains were a dream (they are like a flight - movies, blankets etc).Onto the best part of Loka and the one special thing that separates them from the rest - the tour guides...Our first guide, Donk, was hilarious - really friendly, informative and was a welcome organiser when the group were just getting their heads around the whole travelling thing. He could have just bombed it down the roads to get us from A to B quickly, but instead he stopped along the way at beautiful spots to see the incredible beaches and do a bit of kangeroo spotting. Then there was Cappie, who wasn't even my official guide at the time. I met him by the pool in Airlie beach and before I knew it he was dragging me onto his next stop at Magnetic Island which included taking us to hidden gems like rooftop pools, getting us a sweet deal of car rentals, doing a personal guided tour of the whole island, taking us to see the most beautiful sunset you'll ever lay your eyes on, and of course, getting involved in every party making me cry with laughter every day. He didn't need to do any of this - but he did. He really made the last leg of my trip truly unforgettable and he is exactly what Loka stands for.Overall, Loka is a great choice if you want to travel the East Coast in a unique way, guided by some awesome people who have such passion for Australia and see some places you'll never forget.Take me back!

Best way to travel the East Coast!!!!I booked my trip through my travel agency (ultimate travel), and this included accomodation, excursions and Loka ticket, and it was amazing! The drivers/guides were great and they gave us a complete tour with information about all the important places (and most of the times even the less important places). The transportation was all sorted and super comfy. The vibes in the bus were really good and most guides really tried their best to make the long drives bearable and fun.Even in their spare time Loka guides Cappie and Ed took us to amazing places and helped us to make this the best trip ever! Thanks for everything guys! I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone who wants to see the best part of Australia!

I did the north bound trip (Sydney to Cairns) and had the best time! Big thanks to my guides Wes, Jemma and Ed for making this adventure so memorable. You were all friendly and organized and my trip would not have been the same without you. I definitely recommend Loka to first time travellers, pro backpackers and everyone in between :)

Myself and my partner Autumn recently finished our 'Mick' pass with Loka, travelling from Sydney>Cairns. From the start Loka were fantastic, any email queries were responded to extremely fast, and any difficulties we were faced with someone was always quick to help. All of our guides along the way have been incredibly knowedgeable, fun and very keen to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time. What we found different with Loka to other tours is that with the smaller group sizes trips tend to be more personal, meaning you get to see what you want to see, travelling with a close group of friends rather than 40 other people. As I mentioned all of the guides and members of Loka we met were fantastic, however Marcus, Ed and Jemma were notably brilliant. Ed spent a lot of time with us helping us plan out trips and additional adventures and was always open and available to help; which made our trip so much easier to plan out and got the best out of our trip!Marcus' immense knowledge of not just the leg of the journey he drove but Australia in general was fantastic, and we are amazed at how much we learnt through having him as a driver over only a few days.Lastly Jemma's fun and outgoing personality made even the worst of train journeys enjoyable; and we felt her constant positivity kept everyone in the group really pumped and in a good mood!Thankyou for being so awesome Loka, and keep doing what you're doing!

I did the Greg pass and added on the Blue Mountains day trip from Sydney and it was absolutely phenomenal! The Blue Mountains were epic, our guide Alex was so awesome and we saw so much in just a few hours. The rest of the trip was of the same quality, had another awesome guide Cam, met some incredible people, went canoeing, river tubing, surfing, shopping and saw some cool wildlife. I only wish I could have kept going up the coast!

Loka was by far the best way to experience the East coast of Australia! The guides are so friendly and really get involved in making sure you have an incredible time. They're all fantastic but Cappie, Wes and Dribs for me went the extra mile! I'd missed the bus one day and Loka were really helpful with organising how I could make my way there myself or changing my pick up date.. Much more fun and organised with their own unique touches like the Barrington Tops Retreat! Highly recommend doing your east coast with Loka!

The Loka hop on and off bus tour was nothing short of an amazing experience. The tour guides were phenomenal and went above and beyond their job as a tour guide. For example, Ed booked a few vehicles and took us around Magnetic Island on his day off.I definitely recommend giving Loka a try if you're looking for an amazing East Coast experience.
