The place has a great vibe and the staff members are really friendly. Found it slightly expensive, however, the coffee made up for it.

Just went to Artie and Mai to get something to eat, as takeaway. Decided on wedges - bit steep at $12 but decided they would hit the spot and be worth it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The portion size was ridiculously small for $12. I counted 11 wedges when I got home and tipped into a bowl (attached photo). The lady making coffees didn’t even acknowledge me while I stood there and waited to be served.The young girl at the counter was very lovely though and smiley. But unfortunately will not be a returning customer and will let all my friends know how disappointing this cafe is.

I've noticed people from all walks of life enjoying their experience here, just like me. This versatility is a testament to the restaurant's great styling, attentive staff, and inviting atmosphere, which make it easy to feel right at home.Without fail, every dish I've had at Artie and Mai has been exceptional. Their menu is thoughtfully curated, and no matter what I order, I am consistently blown away by the flavors and presentation. Nice coffee and great chai but...The three staff at the counter ignored us when we entered.They offer 10% off if you order online. I suspect this is not legal and constitutes a form of discrimination. There is no excuse for this. And you cannot insist that disabled patrons identify themselves to staff.It was also very loud, no soft furnishings to soften conversations etc.Disappointing.

I normally don’t write complaints but this experience was bad enough to mention.It was a complete disappointment. Firstly, the wait time was extremely frustrating we waited 1 hour for our food. Staff lacked any sense of urgency in taking our orders or serving our food. We were charged $96 for three meals and three coffees. Which would have been fine if the food quality was worth it such mediocre food.If this wasn’t all bad enough when I mentioned the hour wait time while paying I was told “it’s because we came at the end of breakfast rush” by the manger, would you not care to mention your wait times then?I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Loved our breakfast here. The service was very friendly and prompt and our meals were nicely prepared. We both had scrambled eggs. Mine came with plenty of fresh chilli. The coffee was really nice and I also recommend the chai vegan tea. Such a lovely cafe with plenty of indoor seating that is well spaced apart and some outdoor footpath dining tables.

I've finally found a FLAVOURFUL mixed Berry smoothie in Brisbane!!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a smoothie that actually has flavour - is so delicious!! Most other cafe smoothies have little to no taste, are so incredibly bland (just taste like milk) and just plain awful, but not at Artie and Mai!! so happy I've finally found a great mixed Berry smoothie close to home - I look forward to trying the other flavours too now!! Thanks Artie & Mai !!!

I asked the waitress if the Salmon Eggs Benedict was a big meal as it was $26 which seemed a little pricey to me as its usually $20 in most other cafes I've eaten at in Brisbane. I don't mind paying a bit more, but it came out on one small piece of toast instead of two English muffins with scarcely any Salmon on it. It tasted great, but way overpriced. A mug of flat white was $6 instead of the usual $5 as well. If you don't mind paying more that's fine, but I won't be going back in a hurry.

The Today's special - chilli caramel Crispy pork Burger was good. Yumm~ however, there's nothing in it that was spicy at all. The wedges supposed to be the chilli element. Other than that, good place to hang out.Update: sadly the food was not as good as I remember. It was bland and expensive for what it was.

Food was fresh and quality ingredients were used. It was a bit pricy but it was worth it. Needs a little improvement to its service, however.
