Paws Away

My arthritic 12 y/o retriever just spent eight nights at paws away and I can’t recommend them enough. Andrew showed great care for Harper and the other dogs I saw during pick up/drop off, was very thorough about his needs, happy to give him his medication and made sure he was comfortable. I think he ate better there than at home too.I enjoyed my holiday knowing Harper was being well cared for and he was a very happy boy when I picked him up. Will be using Paws Away for future trips. Thanks Andrew, much appreciated.

For 3 months Rex stayed with Andrew at Paws Away.Always been able to check up on him, even with separation anxiety - Andrew always made sure Rex was fine, in a clean space.Finally found a place get to have Rex back looking Happy and HealthyCheers AndrewMy kids and I thankyou so much for caring for him.

We have left Ralph at Paws Away many times over the past 7 years. He is very well looked after there by Andrew and Kerry, and always jumps out of the car with excitement when we arrive. We recently left him at Paws Away while travelling for four weeks and were very happy to see him so happy and healthy when we picked him up. Highly recommended, thank you Andrew and Kerry

I can not express my relief and joy in finding Andrew and Paws Away dog boarding kennels. I will never go anywhere else and I feel Andrew is your dogs friend while you are away as he is so experienced on all breeds, all types of dogs and the care they need at the different stages of a dogs life. The negative reviews are clearly absurd and unfounded.I was so nervous and worried as we had to leave our dearest beloved border collie for a whole month as we traveled to Argentina for a long awaited family trip. Our dog was 16 and in failing health and arthritic, and I had to ask Andrew to be prepared to put him down if he suddenly developed worsening symptoms of ageing while we were away. Andrew made me feel at ease, made me trust him to care for our dog for a long period of time at his ‘end of life’, (and maybe put him down.) He even had an air conditioned kennel as our dog did not like the heat. Our dog had injections and medicines and nothing was too much trouble. Andrew even washed him many times as our dog soiled himself a lot due to arthritis. As it happened our dog had a great time with Andrew and he passed away peacefully a long time after our big holiday.We will be back with our new dogs and Andrew is very knowledgeable about dog breeds if you are thinking of adopting. Thank you Andrew for your kindness. We will be back soon.

Went away to Walpole, could not take Lilz & Pep this time as we were in the National Park, Andrew & Paws Away took great care of our Furbabies. Pep, who was untrusting and still fairly new to our family, fell in love with Andrew letting him pick him up. Fully recommended. YES

A wonderful place with very caring owners. My dog is a very anxious dog and they took the time to gain his trust and make him feel safe and secure.I would definitely recommend having your pet stay here, especially if you're a bit nervous about leaving your dog in a kennel.My boy came back happy and clearly had made good friends with Andrew.I wish I'd known about Paws Away sooner , I will definitely use them again.

Our little miss has stayed with Andrew two or three times a year for the last few years. We just picked her up after a 3 week stay and the little madam didn't want to come home! Watching her interact with Andrew when we collected her made it quite clear that he had spent quality time with her, got to know her and earned her trust. Good enough for me! We don't book a holiday for ourselves until we are sure that Andrew is able to look after her while we are away. Our miss is always alert, bouncy and healthy when she comes home - so much so that I get tips from Andrew on what she enjoyed most and make sure we repeat at home! If you want to be confident that your furry child is in safe, caring hands so that you can just relax and enjoy your break, then I can't recommend Paws Away enough.

My anxious dog has stayed at Paws Away several times and always seems extremely happy when we arrive and when he sees Andrew. He also looks happy and well cared for each time we pick him up (which can not be said for the one occasion we tried another kennel in the area). Paws Away is now the only kennel I would take my dog. Highly recommended.

As first time puppy parents, we were very selective when it came to boarding our 5 month old pup, Thelma. Andrew & family were a pleasure to deal with and we are happy to say Thelma was in very safe & knowledgeable hands for the duration of her stay. Andrew was also very patient and understanding with two somewhat anxious owners who requested frequent updates and photos of our girl. We believe Andrew to be a true animal advocate and we have no hesitation in recommending Paws Away.
