Ive contacted EVERY possible number connected to centerlink; even ones that dont necessarily relate to me, like the family line. I JUST need to talk to a SERVICE OPERATOR. but every. single. number is either busy, disconnected, or cannot let my call go thru because my PIN is 4 digits, and the number requires 6. An error on their side, which hasnt been fixed in months. Ive spent over 6 hours trying to get into contact with ANYONE, but your system makes it near impossibleto do the most BASIC THINGS. no wonder unemployment is rising, and mental health hitting an all time low all round.

In order to clarify some recent issues, I have been very much helped by Julie from Frankston Centrelink office. Her high customer related communication skills and professionalism made me leave Centrelink Frankston office content and happy. Such commitment to customer satisfaction is highly appreciated. Thank you Julie

Frustrating experience. I usually don’t like to complain but I need to give an honest review. My student payment was immediately suspended without notice after I “failed to do a phone review” (to confirm I’m still studying). For a start, I didn’t even get NOTIFIED about having to do a phone review. I changed my address AND phone number as soon as I moved and Centrelink sent me a Health Care Card, yet claim they “sent me a letter” to my current address and still had my OLD phone number despite me going in when I changed it and confirming with them?! I never got that “sent letter” but funny I’ve got mail for every other bill and company?! Centrelink’s was either mysteriously lost (I mean who would steal a Centrelink letter, it’s not a valuable inside the envelope), or they really hadn’t sent me any letter but told me they had yet still cut off my pay even though it’s not my fault because I never knew about having to do another review. What annoys me most is not having to do the review. Not at all. Because I’m honest and doing a full time degree, I’m not sponging off of the Government. What REALLY annoys me most is Centrelink’s procedures and lack of ability to accept responsibility for anytime they make a mistake, instead the quite often innocent customer must pay whatever price. Waited over an hour to see someone as the first person told me my pay had been suspended but “couldn’t tell me why”. I finally got called after over an hour and spoke to this person (actually quite rude and wasn’t listening to my story and frustration even though I was very polite - didn’t swear or abuse them at all, was just expressing my frustration because I only need my pay to live, you know?), was only 30 seconds with them, as they put me through to another phone call in which I was put on hold for another 30 minutes plus again. Simply not good enough. Why couldn’t that first person have helped me out?? Instead of making me wait over an hour for another person to just push one button to transfer me to a phone call I could have quite easily dialed myself should I have been told that from the start. I am a full time degree student working my behind off to get an education and to get a good career. When doing a degree and there’s very little to no time nor opportunity/chances for employment, often people like myself and many others DEPEND on these payments. Food, transport to uni etc etc. How can you penalise someone for something they didn’t even get notified about?? As I said, it’s not as if I was negligent in telling you my details. I changed my details as soon as they changed and time and time again I have confirmed the new address and number. It surely can’t be that hard to punch it in but always.. “system error”. No responsibility ever taken nor apology ever offered. Why don’t the drug-addicts, ferals and “dole-bludgers” ever get reviewed?? Go chase those people up. Not the hard-working or hard-studying (still working without pay for an education) and good honest people like me. It just infuriates me to see so many people getting away with getting free payments and not contributing to society, but you don’t seem to chase those people up. All seems to be sorted now but it’s just a frustrating experience.Thank You to the person who finally sorted it. The one positive thing was the person on the phone actually was helpful and polite so a huge Thank You to them. Otherwise, I hope my pay isn’t suspended without notice again when it isn’t my fault. I’m a good person. I study hard and am entitled to the payment and this is what I get...

How pity that I cannot give it a zero star? People working in there are absolutely lazy and careless. I went to the office more than 4 times to provide the same document, and in the end centerlink still says my claim is missing that doc, despite those staff provided me a ‘receipt’ number for my document every time I went there.
