Friendly service, traditional Australian/Chinese feel, food was exceptional. I had the beef curry hotpot and there was nothing about that dish I didn't like. Absolutely sensational!

Have always had a nice meal. The duck is usually especially nice. Their give a reasonable serve of vegetables too with their meals that have them. BYO. The serves are average. As you can see this is a decent serve of chicken and chips.

We highly regret having dinner here earlier this year while staying in New Norfolk. The food quality was very poor to the point where I was afraid of getting food poisoning. I requested the food to be recooked but they would not comply to my request, and they sarcastically laughed about me amongst themselves. I ate the food under sufferance but would have preferred to not eat it. They have no respect for the customers satisfaction and desires.

Everything was seamless from the time we arrived until we left. The staff and service were excellent. The food was delicious & the quality was superb. The serving sizes were plenty. Highly recommend this restaurant. It’s BYO and we didn’t get charged corkage. Excellent!On our last night with travelling around Tasmania for the past 3 weeks we ended up in the quaint little town of New Norfolk. Lovely town.While wandering around our group of 4 came across the Shanghai Restaurant and decided to go in. It presented very nicely and we sat down and order chicken and sweet corn soup for entree. It was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. For mains we ordered special fried rice, satay chicken, beef strips in garlic and ginger sauce and combination chow main. The food was exquisite especially the beef in garlic and ginger. Large portion. Staff very pleasant and helpful. EnjoyShanghai is probably the best Chinese restaurant this side of the Derwent. eat in or take away is always delicious ,we have been customers for about 8 years now and have yet to be disappointed with our choices from the vast menu .We recommend this venue for lunch or just a quiet dinner in the comfortable seating of the restaurant.
