To put it simply, Julia was the transformative factor in empowering me to have a second time birth that was healing, powerful and deeply connected to myself and my baby. Julia is one of the most calming and grounding people I’ve ever met, it is as if the art of doula-ing was crafted with her in mind! She was beautifully present with my husband and myself, from every prenatal session all the way through to phone calls during the 9 days past my ‘due date’. I felt so blessed and lucky to be held during labour and birth by such a calm, wise woman, and I cannot recommend Julia’s service more highly. Worth every single cent. ❤️

Julia is an amazing support as a birth partner. She was able to equip me with tools to be there for my wife during birth, and also educate the both of us on what a positive birth experience looks like. Too many births result in post traumatic experiences but I can say hand on heart thanks to Central Coast Doula we look back on our birth journey with the fondest of memories.

I had a such a positive experience with Julia in our 3 hour birth coaching session. Coming in at 32 weeks pregnant, and a little underprepared, I felt immediately comfortable with her, she is warm and personable, and I had no trouble or anxiety discussing everything going on for me. She has a wealth of knowledge and many useful materials, and explained everything from the basics to the more specific in ways I could understand and access in order to make meaningful connections to the info. It was an invaluable experience and I have walked away feeling confident and excited to give birth. I am so grateful to Julia and feel completely supported if any other queries arise during or even after my pregnancy. She is exactly who you want in your corner for the huge life change that is pregnancy and birth.

Having Julia by my side during my fourth trimester as my postpartum doula was incredible. She has such a calming energy and made me feel nourished and nurtured during every visit. It allowed me to transition into a mother of three with ease and confidence and truly soak in the special newborn days.The practical support was amazing but the emotional support was what really stood out. As second-time parents planning for pregnancy and beyond, we were acutely aware of the preciousness and rawness of postpartum. We knew that the right support would be crucial in setting-up our family for success. Engaging Julia as our postpartum doula was the smartest investment we made. Her extensive experience and intuitive care saw us through many wobbles: establishing breastfeeding, settling a refluxy baby, hormone surges, and learning how to navigate the demands of two little people! She was there when I needed her most; offering hands-on help so I could nap or shower, carve out one-on-one time with my eldest, or simply chat about how I was feeling. She gave my partner a break, brought nurturing meals, and assured me at every turn. Our fourth trimester was a grounded and beautiful experience - all because of her. She went above and beyond, and I am forever grateful for her support. I wish every parent in the world could experience it.

Julia is one of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Her knowledge and experience was invaluable to me during such a vulnerable and life changing transition in my life. Her post natal care package is most certainly one of the best investments a family can make. Through her warmth and professionalism she gently gave me the support and encouragement I needed to spread my wings as a new mum for the second time and I am eternally grateful.

I’m not sure the right words exist to describe what a valuable addition Julia was to our birthing team. After a very traumatic induction with our second baby, I knew I wanted our third birth to be different.I was initially very fearful about how our third birth might look, but with a lot of emotional work and Julia’s constant reassurance, I began to feel hopeful. After our first pre-natal appointment I remember thinking, “I might actually be able to birth again”. Julia helped us believe that a new journey would be possible, no matter how our birth might unfold.Throughout our pregnancy Julia shared her immense knowledge and helped us to trust that this birth would be different. She answered all of our questions and was in regular contact, especially as our due date drew closer.Our babe had his own game plan, choosing to arrive in the hospital carpark with Julia and our midwife arriving just in time! In what was otherwise a noisy and very public space, Julia’s sense of calm transcended everything. She helped me to tunnel my vision and to focus on breathing out our baby. None of us could have imagined the way in which he arrived, but it was truly perfect!When asked later if he was scared about having our baby in a carpark my husband said, “I think I was okay because Julia was there to help. She was doing a great job of keeping you calm and because you were calm, I was calm. If she hadn’t been there I would have been panicking for both of us.”In the almost 18 months since, I have occasionally wondered if we’d arrived at the hospital sooner or if we hadn’t tried to park the car, if I could have made it up to birth suite. Perhaps yes, but I’ve come to the realisation that we birthed exactly where we were meant to. Our birth was pure magic and it was entirely our own. Julia helped me to feel confident and empowered and not the least bit fearful. The people who needed to be there were there and my body did exactly what it needed to to bring our baby safely into our arms.My only regret about our baby’s swift arrival is that we didn’t get to spend more of my labour with Julia. But I am forever grateful for her help in working through all of the emotional trauma from our second birth in order to prepare for our third. She helped me to trust my body and find the courage to believe I could birth differently. That work was hard and exhausting and in the thick of it, overwhelming to the point that I wanted to quit, BUT birthing in the carpark, roaring out our third bub entirely on my own terms, I felt like a queen! And in the days and weeks that followed Julia continued to encourage me to trust my mum instinct. She told me I was doing amazingly well when I felt like I was crumbling. She reassured me that all of our children know they’re loved, even when I feel like there isn’t enough of me to go around.Julia is a true gem. She is caring and compassionate, offering advice and sharing her vast knowledge but never imposing her opinion onto your birthing journey. She is there to guide you, to advocate for you and is one of the most intuitive holders of space I have ever met. Investing in her doula skills will be the best decision you ever make and I feel honoured to know her and to now call her my friend.

I highly recommend Julia. I was extremely nervous during my second pregnancy due to birth trauma and post natel anxiety after the birth of my first child. Julia showed kindness and compassion from our very first interaction. She was the perfect person to provide post natel care and I really enjoyed her visits over the 8 weeks post the birth of my daughter. She was always there to provide a listening ear, useful parenting advice and practical support. This was particularly valuable as all of my family are overseas. My kids also adored her!
