Definitely the best hotel you can find in Port Augusta. It is super clean. The rooms are perfect, you got everything you need. The owners are genuinely lovely, super kind, very welcoming and willing to help.I've stayed for a few nights during the lockdown and had the feeling I was home.I absolutely enjoyed my stay.Perfect customer service. Great location. Highly recommended!!!

Great stopover coming thru Port Augusta. Set back off a bit from Hwy so no road noise. Very clean and immaculately presented. The manager (Frank) was very helpful and provided answers to my questions about the town. Will use again.

Good value for money. This is not the newest place but that's only the outside. The inside was very nice with comfy bed, good sized fridge, microwave, cups, plates and cutlery. Very roomy and had a good quality TV. Reasonable walking distance to eating places. Recommended.

Everything from the early text to see what time I would arrive - through to the friendly service on arrival and the infrequent check ins to see how I was going. These were a few of the things that made me love my stay at Pampas.I would highly recommend people to stay at this establishment as the rooms are great (and not budget at all in my opinion). The shared bathroom situation isn't ideal, but when I actually saw these shared facilities - they were far above average. The rooms were massive and the beds - comfortable!

I have stayed at this place for a considerable amount of time. I am immensely satisfied with the standard of cleanliness, security of this place (secured car park) and the great hospitality and friendliness of the family who owns and lives at the premise especially Frank. My stay at this place was extremely comfortable with reverse cycle A/C in every room, superfast internet, very comfortable bed, regular bed linen change by Frank's family, TV in every room, a fully equipped industrial kitchen with other amenities. If you are passing through Port Augusta or looking for a long term accommodation please consider this place. At the end, a small request if you are a troublemaker please stay away from this place as Frank manages this place mostly on his own(hence, better rates). I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.

Accommodation was nice. Clean affordable and well stocked. The owner started out nice. Then he called me after we left and gave me a serve about the sheets in a bed I hadn't even used. And told me not to rush back in a hurry. A bad end to what was a good experience.

It seems a little spartan when you first step inside. But you come to realise that this place has been carefully and deliberately nurtured back to it's original state - or as original as time and wear will allow. It's dark in parts. The floor upstairs has a definite lean on the kitchen end. But the bones of the place are gorgeous and the owners have taken great care to leave as minimal a modern footprint on the building as possible and in fact the only real modern change is the addition of wifi. The beds inside are the original wire-spring mattresses and every inch of the building has a historical charm that you can't fake or recreate.Frank - the gentleman managing the building also handles the renovations and you can sense the pride in his work as he gave us an impromptu tour of the bar under construction downstairs. The paneling has been pulled away to expose the beautiful stonework underneath and the level of the floor lifted. He knows the history and talks with affection about the mayor who used to live here. This motel is not for everyone and if you love to be surrounded by the modern and have every convenience at arms length then you're better off looking elsewhere. But if you're vulnerable to the charms of vintage architecture then this motel will delight.

Absolutely beautiful gem of a place. Doesn't look like much from outside but interior is beautiful. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The budget room we had was huge, tastefully decorated and so very tidy. Shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen were fantastic as well. I would not change anything about the place. It is beautifully restored place with it's old charm still intact. 5 stars for sure!
