We stayed in our Caravan at The General Gordon Hotel, Lovely area to camp, Shower and toilet available. Lovely Pub meals, very well priced, & Wonderful, Friendly Staff.. Cold Beer on tap.. Highly Recommend..

Our favourite pub to stay while caravaning around. The staff are friendly, locals interesting to talk to, food great, clean amenities and the furniture quirky. It’s also fun camping with sugar cane fields all around.

Absolutely love this little country pub!!For just $5pp a night and only 10mins out of Mackay, we camped out the back by the sugar cane fields.The owner was a legend, awesome service, cheap food and drinks, great pub feed, good facilities, toilets and even a shower upstairs that you can use. The staff and even the locals made us feel very welcome and had a great chat to us. Wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back and can’t recommend it enough!

Great camping spot out the back with toilets and showers. Really cool old pub with fantastic friendly locals that involved us in the social darts competition (Tuesday nights). We will be back again on our travels.

We stayed in the parking lot with our camper van for one night. Very busy restaurant but everything shuts down around midnight. People were urinating all over the parking lot which was disgusting, especially because there was very acceptable bathrooms available (even at night). There are showers but we didn't use them. Nice view over a field, road is not too noisy.

Warm and welcoming. Felt like our business was really appreciated and food was delicious. Really unique place. A must for any locals or travellers alike. Live music weekly. Darts on Tuesday nights.

Service staff were friendly and pleasant.Service was good, and food was tasty. Lovely old country pub with covered open air restaurant. Great place to sit and relax and enjoy a quiet meal. Has camping for self-contained caravans. Plenty of parking. Prices are fairly standard. It's definitely worth a visit.
