A friend of mine has recently become a resident here. The over-all facility is very new and up to date. The management and staff seem to be adequate, however it is too early for me to make knowledgeable judgement. That said, Helping Hand runs a number of aged care facilities in Adelaide and have an excellent reputation.

The MSU absolutely reaked of urine - very sad environment for the residents and staff. Residents just sit and stare. Would not recommend a loved one to be living in that environment,

Save yourself the heartache. Look elsewhere. The facilities are new and lovely. But the food is below canteen standard. Boiled meat anyone? Hard burnt schnitzel? Most worrying is the inexperienced and insufficient staffing issues, and the resulting compromise in the level of care. Our resident had her wits about her, luckily, and an involved family that regularly had to advocate on her behalf. Our elderly deserve much better.

This is my 93 year old Mums 15th day in respite, she is very happy here and she gets looked after very well, I just cant fault the care she is getting and she loves all the meals and snacks, she went in at only 47kg and just looking at her I can tell she is putting on weight. There are lots of activities she can attend and she goes to physio there too and the hairdresser and shes got time for an afternoon nap.

Amazing care amazing staff amazing facilities... I was so happy my Nana got to spend her remaining years being cared for by Helping Hand at Lightsview. I will definitely pop in and say hello for years to come. Thank You again!
