One of the furthest lodges from the village. Such a pain at the end of the day. I'd give the caretaker a 5/5, during the day when everyone is out he's there cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen and such, as well as swapping stories and being generally amiable at the end of the day. The lodgings themselves are kind of garbage, very cramped. However, it's nice that bedding and (bad) pillow are provided, as well as the ability to cook for ourselves. All in all, I think it's good for the price point, but there are other places that do more and better. It's just a place to crash, spending as little time at the lodge itself.

Great place to stay, in the village. This is a lodge, not a hotel, so it does use shared bathroom and cooking facilities. Sitting area with the fireplace is communal, people share stories and drink beers and wine on the sofas.

We booked to stay here for a week and Matt the manager was consistently rude to us. He refused to shake my hand upon greeting us at the door and was consistently trying to assert his authority over us as if we weren’t paying a lot of money to stay there. I wouldn’t wish meeting him upon my worst enemy.

Stayed at Aneeki in April 2013 primarily to do some mountain biking in Thredbo. We booked the family room but we were contacted prior to arrival to be informed that the room had been double booked. We were transferred to to two rooms, which suited us (couple with older kids) better anyway, so no complaints there. I imagine it might get a bit hectic there if the place was full but I can only talk about our experience. There was only two other families there for the for the first day or so of our stay and then we had the place to ourselves. Comfortable living area. Good kitchen with everything we needed. Good value. The only negative was finding a dead Agile antechinus (small native marsupial mouse) in one of the elliot traps there. These traps are designed to catch the antechinus so they can then be released alive outside the lodges (an information sheet was stuck on the fridge). The traps need to be checked regularly and not left up against a heater, as this one was. (I am an ecologist who has conducted surveys for antechinus in national parks).

Best lodge ever. Flexible, affordable, organized, clean and beautiful. Has a terrace, bbq, board games, chimney, and the views are amazing. The caretaker, Ian, made our stay super comfy as we find surprises in the kitchen that we weren't expecting like milk, toast, cereal, instant coffee and more. And a dishwasher! If you are unsure where to book this is the best shared place in all Thredbo. We went in February, as a couple for the MTB park.

Great little place with great old school ski lodge charm. My son and I stayed here just before the school holiday onslaught and had the place to ourselves. That is except for Ian who really isn’t a ‘caretaker’, more of a genuine Thredbo guide & interesting character. Has plenty of great stories from a well lived life. We’ll be back. Booking directly this time.

Sandie and Mat were so friendly! Lovely place with great views and a nice common area with fireplace lit daily. Would definitely recommend, and will hopefully be back!

For the price you can't do better. Tidy and cosy with friendly helpful staff who keeps the wood fire blazing for weary, cold skiers to curl up in front of. Bedding is alright but the pillows are not the best.

Fantastic! Warm, welcoming, full size entertaining kitchen, more than big enough.I liked the location, the bus stops out the front.Only downside is having to catch that bus from Friday Flats because there's no parking there

It's been a really good experience staying at aneeki lodge, the rooms and the showers are clean and the kitchen are really good for cooking if you want to cook at night, Ian the manager is very friendly and helpful, the guests are also very friendly, the atmosphere were so relax and carefree. I would highly recommended for everyone who wants to stay in tredbo either summer and winter
