Australia Post - Hunter Business Centre

Recently sent a package overseas with a value of $2700 - full of pinball products. The customer got the package and all the goods were missing and replaced with religious brochures some of which are Newcastle based along with money (not sure if real or fake).

Pathetic ,I reakon my small expensive parcel went into someone's pocket. That's really the only explanation as it made it from Texas USA without issue and disappeared at this facility . Shame on Australia Post. Never will I order online again and never will you have my business.

ordered 4 items on sunday-express post, 2 items coming from 1 store, and the other 2 a different store. 3 items (2 of which have come from the same store) were delivered by wednesday, last item was sent to this distribution centre Tuesday, hasnt moved since (a week from writing this review). everything was dispatched from their stores at the same time yet 1 package has some how disappeared here.Too bad if it was Express Post for a reason...

It appears by other reviews, as if this depot is developing a habit for losing packages! Is this incompetence, theft or the mis management of this depot by Aust Post? I too had 3 orders made on the same day. 2 of the orders arrived within 7 working days of the order. The last disappeared into mayfield west 14 days ago. It was on transit to Tamworth (2 hours drive from its delivery address) from Sydney and ended up at this depot! This package is a vacuum cleaner…not something that can be overlooked! (When lodging a complaint, I’m told to wait until the end of the month!) And I think the repeating excuse of COVID is now old hat! If lack of staff is the excuse, well employ more! If theft is the reason…call in the police! And if mis management…reorganise!And I’m not a whinger Jeff N! This is not the first package to have gone missing! A few months ago I had an overseas package delivered to the wrong address in Sydney. I was told that it was delivered to the address on the package, although my order confirmation showed the correct delivery address. Aust Post disclaimed any responsibility for its loss and closed the case under the excuse of’Scam’. They wouldn’t give me the address they delivered it to. That incompetence cost me $60. So I’m nervous about this order! It could cost me $800! Except if Aust post deny responsibility for this one I’ll be taking it to the ombudsman.Post script: my delivery was due in early April, it is now almost the end of June! The sellers intervened and have refunded me for my loss….I am very nervous about using Aust Post now.

Ordered an item for father's Day. With express shipping with plenty of time for it to arrive. Arrived at this depot on Tuesday and has sat there ever since. Completely missing the deadline and ruining father's day.If we had a choice of where our parcels went I would never recommend it ever going here as the contractors and staff are completely useless and incompetent.UPDATE: So after this complaint and review, they decided to send my package back to sydney. Great job guys

Read Through the reviews after my order and was a bit stressed, but I was totally wrong, ordered my shoes on Monday had them shipped by Tuesday and I got them today(Thursday). Couldn’t complain one bit.

Located in Warrabrook here is the main post distribution depot for local deliveries. Large trucking hub with Startrack distribution also carried out here. Letters can also be posted here in mailboxes located on the footpath

This is the second parcel EXpress post that has disappeared at the Warrabrook sorting centre. A live plant Express post parcel arrived with in 2 days to the centre at Warrabrook from Brisbane. It has now been sitting there, either missing or plants dead, since Thursday the 4th May, when it was supposed to be delivered. There is no help, either online or on the phone until the 18th May. In the past they have lost, in the same manner, a package of many rare plants plus have also delivered plants 7 days after posting where these plants where so close to death. There is either gross incompetence or theft happening at this depot. When there is a limited number of a rare plant available getting money back after a lengthy period is of no benefit. Also when they get a great delivery person they do not last long and deliveries go back to a very bad experience. Either get more staff and pay them properly or do not charge extra for Express delivery as you should be reported to the ombudsman for poor business practices.
