Harry's On Buderim
Went for our anniversary dinner. It was absolutely amazing! Chef Stuart Bell is a genius! We had quail and octopus for entrees. Steak and pork for mains. Plus potatoes and greens as sides. Sheared Mandarin cake for dessert. Beautiful food. Great wine selection. Our waitress was professional and helpful. Harry's new owner Neil was really friendly and a helpful person. We had a great Anniversary dinner! Thank you and will be back for more!

Left a little disappointed with our last visit. Was hoping for it to be special for my Dad's 80th birthday lunch, I emailed the day before to ask if they could make his desert plate special with a message or candle which they agreed to but forgotten. There were only 3 other tables occupied but the service was lacking attentiveness. Entrée of terrine was tasty but served with 3 very small bite size pieces of brioche. Food was ok although the prawn entree was expensive for $28 for 2 prawns. Barramundi was the stand out. Sadly don't think we'll be going back which is a shame because we loved this restaurant and the setting.

Lovely setting, friendly service and the food was good. However, I understand everything is getting more expensive, but being charged $39 for 3 prawns and 2 scallops is somewhat over the top. Other meals were also very expensive for what we got. Won't be going back.

My husband and I had a delightful Valentine's Day dinner at Harry's the food was superb and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

Last minute treat, managed to book in for lunch, most enjoyable afternoon on the verandah.Service was great, food was delicious, a little pricey, but very enjoyable, will be back.

Harry's On Buderim
My mother was there with her partner for her birthday - she asked me to review on her behalf. She often goes to Harry's but she won't be returning. The service was appalling. No serviettes, she had to ask for cutlery for each course, no one filling the water and no waiting staff around to ask, no condiments on the table and staff were absent - each time her partner had to get up, wander about trying to find someone and was met with a lack of interest. In a restaurant that has such excellent food and reputation, the lack of decent service, basic necessities are what will drive people away, sadly. Maybe the staff could start with how to set a table? Thank you.

Shared a friend's birthday party with a group. We had our own room. Very suitable. We made a bit of noise at times and we're not chastised for it. Had a great time. Highly recommended

Not impressed. The food may have looked like fine dining and priced like fine dining but made by amateurs or by a chef who just doesn't care. Overall, it was a disappointment.Starters: We had the octopus and salmon. Both dishes were warm in places but mostly cold. The salmon was slimy. The octopus was tough and the black pasta was still raw in the middle. The octopus was warm in places but the accompanying vegetable and sauce were cold throughout. The charred cold zucchini was watery and with the sauces and juice from the octopus, made the whole dish a sloppy mess.After the let down starters, we had so much hope for the mains. Unfortunately the disappointing experience continued. The duck breast was overdone and tough. The charred broccoli tasted like it was fried in 3 day old oil. The duck jus was too sweet. The sirloin steak, which had so much potential had gristly fat running across the middle.We were planning on ordering desserts too but decided the risk wasn't worth it and best to cut our losses.

Overall very happy with this much anticipated visit! The highlight of the night for me was the Mooloolaba prawns - tender, juicy, plump, and I loved the fennel and apple ribbons. The lamb was also beautifully cooked, and the duck meat was falling off the bone. The portions were very generous and no complaints at all. The two different cuts of pork on the one plate, however was a bit dry. I would rate the food as 4 stars, but I have to say the service was 5 stars. The waiter offered to help me charge my phone before my trip back to Brisbane and the small gesture made all the difference. Thank you and we will be back again to try the dessert menu too next time.
