Blue Tortuga Adventures

We had such an amazing day on the boat snorkelling! We were lucky enough to see about 15 sea turtles amongst so many other cool sea creatures which the team were able to teach us so much about - couldn’t recommend to anyone enough! Thank you!! :)

Man, where do I start with this review?? The crew at Blue Tortuga has been nothing short of spectacular during our Open Water Diving journey. From the warm welcome when you walk into the store to the shared excitement of your first dive. Everyone on this team is passionate about what they do & it shows. This team is wicked AND they make a mean BBQ (shoutout to Damon). Damon had an awesome way of making you feel welcomed on the boat and ensuring it was going to be a great day. And let me tell ya.. IT WAS ! Carlos also took time to ask us if we had questions or if there was anything we were nervous about. It was obvious he was passionate about scuba diving and our experiences at Blue Tortuga. Lastly, we had the pleasure of having Bryce as our instructor and he did an amazing job making us feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident. It felt as if you were being taught by a friend that just wanted you to have fun and succeed. He went above and beyond to make sure we could finish our course within the slim time frame we had. Bryce was incredible & we hope we “cross paths underwater” with him soon.If you’re thinking about doing any type of scuba, do yourself a favour and reach out to this team :)Thank you Blue Tortuga for such an amazing experience !!

I had the pleasure of venturing out to Moreton Island and Flinders Reef with this amazing crew! one of the best experiences of my life, we stayed on an overnight live aboard, really down to earth relaxed crew who made the entire trip really enjoyable. Went for an epic scuba dive session, as well as snorkeling and had a tonne of fun. Can't thank the guys enough for their hospitality and would highly recommend anyone who is keen on a Marine adventure to join one of their tours. 10/10 !!

Had an amazing day out freediving with Alex and the crew. The spots we were diving were unreal! For lunch he cooked a delicious BBQ on the boat as well. Terrific experience, I will definitely be booking again. Thanks legends.

I cannot recommend Blue Tortuga Adventures enough! Just passed the deep diving specialty, the Advanced Open water and Rescue courses with them and it was first class from start to finish. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and explained everything several times before jumping into the water. The experienced team gave us very good tips about scientific diving as we will be collecting different types of data underwater for a research project soon (University of the Sunshine Coast). The hire kit is brand new, top quality bcd and regs, and the boat is also in top condition.I really enjoyed the dives at the local reefs and the Ex-HMAS Brisbane. My ears usually take a while to equalize, but the team was professional and patient with my slow pace on my way down (they always deploy a mermaid line which makes life easier too) ;)I highly recommend them, I will definitely be back!

Amazing tour. Alex the owner and all the staff were great. They obviously all loved their jobs, and it showed. We went for a free diving tour and we were taken to an epic spot with differing depths. Awesome day in the boat!

I did my open water course here and was just the absolute greatest time ever. The staff is so friendly and incredibly accommodating!! Had the opportunity to complete our dives on Mudjimba Island and saw heaps of fish, wobbegongs and some turtles!Our instructor Bryce did such an amazing job of making sure we had tons of time to complete all our skills and felt comfortable in the water! Did an incredible job of balancing time between completing all our necessary skills and had time to explore the underwater world! We also had assistance from Carlos who was lovely and aided in helping us with our gear and providing additional information and support!Also huge shoutout to our skipper Damon who was so amazing during our last two dives and provided additional support with gearing up. Not to mention shredding on the bbq for an awesome bbq lunch !!I would highly recommend completing any kind of scuba course with Blue Tortuga as they are such a friendly and welcoming company. And this small business really values each individual and makes your experience incredibly personalized.
