Shotokan Karate Club - JKA-SKC | Karate at the Mount Hawthorn Lesser Hall for All Ages and Fitness Levels, Kids Karate in a Fun & Friendly Environment , Improve Health, Fitness and Wellbeing, whilst Learning Self-Defence Skills Our program is designed to develop the students' co-ordination, quicken reflexes, and build stamina. Furthermore, it will enhance students' self-esteem, leadership skills and confidence at the same time.

A great karate school ran by an incredible Instructor and Martial Artist. With many years of Coaching and Training under her Black belt, Has a wealth of great knowledge in Karate-Do. Amazing with Kids and Adults alike. I've known Sensei Shamyla for many years. Guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Very welcoming family friendly dojo with a great club culture among the Sensei, Students, and parents.Sensei Shamyla is excellent with both junior and senior students and provides a place to learn with knowledge, discipline and kindness. There are also opportunities to compete in tournaments regularly. Definitely recommend this dojo for anyone looking to start or continue their shotokan karate journey.

Fantastic dojo for adults and kids alike. Supportive environment that feels like a second family. Sensei Shamyla is kind, compassionate, clever and and all around great person to learn from. She has extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for karate, and brings out the very best in her students. I am always grateful for her tutelage and support. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for new skills, fitness and community, and particularly to assist kids with body awareness, confidence and self discipline.

I regularly train at this dojo when I visit Perth. Sensei's training sessions has a good balance between traditional karate training and competition training. Sensei goes above and beyond in supporting and developing her students in whichever path they want to follow on their Karate journey. Everyone of her students are welcoming and friendly. There is no ego to be found. I highly recommend training at this dojo for juniors and adults alike. Oss!
