Orford Blue Waters Hotel

Our room ( No 7), was lovely. bright, clean and had a small patio at the rear, with views over the estuary. The wifi however only worked when just out of the room. The restaurant in the evening very busy with a full house of families, in a canteen style environment. The open plan made it all but impossible to have a conversation without shouting. So if you are looking for a quiet evening, you're probably better off with take away on the patio or Scorchers just over the bridge

The rooms were well appointed and clean. Good value for money.Our only dislike is that we didn't realise at the time of booking that the main road goes right past the rooms as well as the motel being a popular spot for work crews to stay (therefore walking past your rooms in the early hours and also starting their vehicles at around 6am right outside your room).

Lovely fresh, clean and bright room. Comfy and soft bed. Fantastic hot shower. Well located right near the water with lovely walking track. I unfortunately had very loud neighbors that kept me awake until about 1am, but this was the only negative (and nothing the venue could've done.) Would definitely stay again.

Service and food were quite excellent for the price.Rooms were fairly average but serviceable. I stayed in room 3 a few nights ago.Unfortunately there were a lot of scuff marks on the walls, and the plastic shower holder had a large crack in the fixture, which sprayed water on the bathroom floor, over the shower door, when turned on.Also only had a half toilet roll on the hook plus one full spare when I arrived. Reception would likely replenish this the next day though, as I only stayed one night.Bathroom power outlets RCD protected which is a plus.TV with digital channels (seems Netflix could work if connected to the free wifi, but I didn't try)Free wifi was fairly average, as is typical.Iron and ironing board provided.Fridge and small cupboard available.Air conditioned.Has bottle shop adjoined with restaurant.Sound isolation between rooms seemed pretty good.

Arrived just as lunch was ending and the helpful staff rushed us through so we didn't miss out. Loads of seating available at this time and we sat outside in the garden. Good food was served quickly - the roast of the day was great!

What an amazing meal great staff and clean fast friendly service would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a huge filling delicious meal will be 100% happy and satisfied. Thankyou will be back next tie were up this way for sure.

Travelling through & noticed meals 7 days @ wk, what a delightful experience, great food & customer service.Dining room overlooks the river & hillside.You will not be dissappointed.

I was going to stay at the hotel in early January this year. I rang up to cancel because we were sick with Covid. ( If we had stayed we could have infected everyone at the hotel.) I then get an email from the hotel saying, thank you for staying and to write a review! I again rang the hotel to ask why I got this email when we didn't stay. I would have been happy with an apology, and I would have left it at that. But there was no empathy from the manager. All she could say was how interesting" and quote and requote their cancellation policy. She also said how she could have sold the room many times over. Very poor I say."

Awesome location, food and service. Great steak and can't go past the seafood chowder on a cold day.
