ReviewDr Elaine Ong and her team is very reliable, friendly and caring for the little ones. My cat Milkis got extremely sick back in August, probably because he ate something poisonous, which led to immediate kidney failure. He was dehydrated and in an extremely dangerous condition at the time. I took him to the vet quite late on Friday, but Dr Elaine stayed late, got him tested and took prompt actions in a extremely professional way. During the weekend, I got update from the vet several times a day with photos and I was so glad whenever I heard that he was eating well (both dry and wet food were provided at all time) and being a good boy. After two days’ hard working, thanks for Dr. Elaine, Dr. Meredith and everyone, his condition finally got stabilised. Now, he is the playful, healthy and cutie boy again. Highly recommend this professional team with love and care! Wish all a happy and safe new year! (Here is the Milky who loves you all).

Extremely thankful to the vet and the nurse thay was nice enough for me to slot in an appointment 40minutes before their closing hours. The vet definitely have been very informative and attended to my cat's needs. My cat has shown such quick recovery overnight compared to other vet that she had seen a week ago and showed little signs of improvement. So so thankful for Balwyn Central Vet!!

I've been visiting this veterinary surgery for over 20 years and the service is always excellent. The quality of veterinary doctors is excellent and the nursing staff are very dedicated. The surgery is clean and well run and everyone is welcoming and caring. I would have no hesitation in recommending this particular veterinary surgery to anyone. Geronimo agrees and particularly likes Dr. James Taylor.

Dr. James Taylor is highly knowledgeable vet and nursing staff are compassionate and caring.Dr. Taylor picked up the phone while I was inquiring 15 minutes before clinic closing time and encouraged me to bring my sick cat in.It was very reassuring that my cat Goro was receiving the best care and support. Outstand service beyond all expectations and I'm very grateful to have them.Highly recommend Balwyn Central Vet, most professional and friendly vet I have ever been to.

We moved to Balwyn 6 months ago and are so glad we found these guys for our 12 year old Maltese, Toby. Both the James' are fantastic with him.Special thanks to Ann and Christina for looking after our 8.5 week old cavoodle Audrey this weekend. She got hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and was very sick. The girls looked after her wonderfully for the day and helped us to arrange transfer to an ICU on Saturday night. It's now Sunday afternoon and Audrey is back home and on the mend. Thank you so much for saving our little girl.

This place is the best I’ve ever visited in my life. The care from all the vets and even the receptionists is simply incredible. I’ve never felt more taken care of or more welcome at a vet.Throughout my life with animals we’ve had some bad experiences with vets so when my sister and I got a new kitten each we were looking for a new vet to help take away the trauma of an experience at another vet. We saw the sign up for “first kitten check-up free” and decided to give it a go. Trauma? What trauma? We were taken care of in the best way, encouraged to call if we had any questions. Since then one of our kittens has needed an operation and the support along the way has just been above and beyond. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you guys so much!

We take both of our dogs to Balwyn Central Vet Clinic. Over the years we have dealt with the range of vets at the clinic and have been very happy with all our experiences. Very knowledgeable and friendly vets and staff. Have recommended friends to go here with their pets and they have been very happy as well.

They are a great group of veterinary doctors and nurses. We have seen Dr Elaine Ong for the past 20 years, but more recently we have seen Dr James Torode and Dr James Taylor. They have all been very thorough and extremely loving towards our dogs. Our pets have had a few hospitalisations and it is reassuring to know that they have not only been medically well cared for but also lovingly looked after. I highly recommend them!!

The puppy school was awesome! Staff Jess and Millie are knowledgeable and friendly. The program was well covered with some interactive fun play. After the first lesson, Yoghi had succeeded to sleep on his own in another puppy safe room. Thanks to the two ladies.

These guys are amazing. Our cat was very injured and the team did everything they could to squeeze us into a very full schedule. Thank you everyone!
