Went for a blood test today and was seen by Ray. He was absolutely fantastic and talked to me the whole time to calm my nerves. Thanks again.

Highly recommended Shirley. Today i took my 3 yr old son for a blood test, and he was really unsettled about the blood test. But Shirley got him settle and managed to get blood.

The nurse Sarah could not get blood out but continued to push the needle in deeper, then twisted at an angleit to get blood. I told her to stop because it hurt but she refused and kept filling up a second tube until I finally screamed in pain. My arm is still paralysed, it hurts even when I try to move my fingers. Never going back. If the patient tells you to stop because it hurts too much, you need to stop. I often take blood tests, and this was the worst experience ever.

Staff are helpful and well trained. Morning wait times can be 5 to 8 people and unless you need a faster test best to go mid morning.

The entire experience was painless and she kept me at ease as I'm terrified in giving blood. They're open on Sundays which is a big thumbs up. I've been to many places so far this centre is the best. They don't rush in doing their job. Will definitely come here again. :)

A big call out to Nurse Julie. She is a charming and wonderful person. The entire experience was painless and all the more pleasant, thanks to Julie. I wanted to say a big thank you to Shirley, she is professional, technically proficient and always makes me feel at ease, I have always left with a big smile on my face! Shirley puts so much effort into her job and really cares about the people she is treating. There is such a natural warmth about her which makes a big difference in the overall experience.I hope she stays at Laverty for a long time!

Website isn't clear (or incorrect) for what special tests require an appointment. Tried to call the centre several times over 2 weeks, phone rang out each time. No answering machine. Attended centre in person was asked if I have an appointment for a test the website says I don't need an appointment for. Couldn't get an appointment for 6 days even though the centre and appointment Book was empty.
