My experience of Mitch was mixed. Positively, the staff were professional and accommodating. They took the time to talk through what I was hoping for from a cut and colour and chatted about aspects of the photos I had brought along. Unfortunately, I was unhappy with the end result. I asked for a pixie cut and the colour I had to be redone in the same tones. The cut was not what I imagined and the colour was noticeably darker.To the credit of the salon they told me not to pay on the day but come back in a few days and see how I felt then. I did this and while the stylist wanted to spend some time trying to fix the issues I declined and just paid and left. By that time I had washed it and tried to style it myself without much luck. I am still trying to grow out the cut and have chosen to go to another salon.I am writing this review nearly six months later. I have hesitated writing it for so long as I understand that running a business is tough and creating a style from some photos and the client's description can be tricky. That said, I paid around $500 for something that did not reflect what I was after and has taken me months to grow out.

The best hair salon in Melbourne. After 29 years (and many disastrous haircuts!) I have finally found my hairdresser! Chloe is so lovely and really takes the time to talk to you about what you want out of your appointment. She is so thorough and every time I leave, my haircut is even better than the image that I had shown for reference! Overall a great experience whenever I go.

So, you know that feeling when you walk out of the hairdresser and strut down your suburban main street like a circa 2000 Victoria’s Secret model.Well this was one of those days.Campbell, or as I know like to refer to him, ‘gods own hands with scissors’, is THAT hairdresser.I have long fine but thick hair.I wanted it to have more body, without it looking too layered.I have never, in my 40 years, had a better cut.He listened to all my requests and talked me through everything he was doing.And it was perfect.So perfect, I’ll now follow him for life.I cannot thank you enough.

Mitch studio is amazing! The staff are all so friendly and the place is immaculate. During my appointment they pampered me with snacks and drinks. So nice.The amazing Chloe took my hair from blonde to copper and gave me an amazing style. I let her take charge and am so so happy with the results. Best cut and colour I’ve ever had!! Absolutely love this salon! Have been visiting for over a year and cannot find a single fault. All staff are so lovely and salon is such a relaxed and athletically pleasing place to be in. Hanna absolutely nails my blonde every time, and all the other staff who style my hair also do a beautiful job too. 10/10 would recommend visiting!

I can’t speak highly enough of Mitch! I am so glad I found them. From Preston on the front desk giving a warm welcome and a smile to the fabulous warm and friendly Stylist Chloe! She is the first hairdresser I have ever had that actually listens to what I want and nails it every, single time! I walk out of the salon feeling amazing and always get so many compliments. I am about to move out of Ashburton but I will not be changing hairdressers as I have found a gem in Chloe. Can not recommend Chloe and the whole Mitch experience enough!

Campbell is a great stylist and gave me a hair cut that I love! Really good layering to add texture and movement. Very happy with the colour services too.

I visited Mitch Salon for the first time test and it was a great experience. The salon and staff are lovely but more importantly my stylist was fantastic. Aly turned my brassy mop into a gorgeous blonde. She is amazing. It is the best colour I have ever had. I am so happy. I’ll definitely be back.

Getting my hair cut at Mitch was a lovely experience! The salon feels spacious and relaxed - I like the thoughtful touches like the fact that they use Dyson hair dryers, which are quieter than usual. Preston on reception was very helpful and welcoming. My stylist Chloe was a delight. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and to explain what she planned. She gave me the most relaxing head massage I have ever had at a hairdresser! She was friendly and easy to talk to. On top of that she gave me a great haircut, which I am very happy with! The vibe here is much more relaxed than it usually is at a hairdressers and I really liked that. It was worth travelling out from the city. The positive reviews are well-deserved, highly recommended!!
