Sunnyside Hair

New location, new name. Hairtalks is now Sunnyside hair & nail, named after the manager and lovely lady Sunny. This new salon looks very up market, with its gorgeous hardwood floor, full length mirrors, the salon is very clean and has professional and lovely staff. The service is very quick and they all do a great job, with cutting styling and colouring. The only thing I did not like was the Asian background music as I felt like they were just trying to make the Asian people relaxed and comfortable and not other cultures. I also didn't like how the staff at times congregated in the middle of the salon at obviously a staff table and drank and eat and talked amongst themselves, that staff area should have been blocked off at the back of the salon.

Exceptional quality of services performed by Sunny today.I had cut/ color + styled. Extremely happy with the results. Much care and precision was taken by Sunny as always,highly reccomended.Her prices are reasonable, great location.

I went there today wanted to color my hair and a bit of trimming as well. Asking the lady how much is the half head highlight, color and trimming. She said is about $250. I said it’s too expensive for me. ( normally I would go to calla for all those services for $130) I could only pay $150. And the lady her name is Sydney said okay if you are paying cash. I said okay. After she put the foil on me. When they ask me to wash my hair she told me, the price is not $150 is $180. I was like why???She told me she is new. That price wasn’t including the toner. What a ripoff. She was trying to rip me after the owner Sunny and Sydney was talking in Korean. How outrageous!!!. Highly not recommended. So unprofessional. I was agreed before I sat down and now the price went up. The quality of her job is so bad. My highlight is uneven. Never come to this place again. Bad practice for a bad salon!!!

Sunny is a talented and experienced hair dresser. Would totally recommend for a fuss free, fresh cut ❤️

I came here for a walk-in haircut - I have long hair and my appointment was over in less than 15 minutes. My experience - I would describe this place as equivalent to ‘home brand’ and honestly the result is OKAY at best, but compared to other hairdressers for the same price - it is SUB-PAR. This place does the job but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re desperate. Prices aren’t cheap - $55 for a cut without wash or blow dry. I have had a much better experience elsewhere for a similar prices. If you care about your hair cut experience and the overall result, don’t make the same mistake I did.
