Definitely coming back to try this cafe again ! Which in itself is a compliment for any cafe in the city with unlimited options. We ordered the Brioche French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, and some fresh juice and all three were very impressive. The poached pear was out of this world and better than any fine dining restaurant. The lemon curd and raspberry coulee provided much needed relief from the sweetness and the toast itself was nice and soft, so I did not need to go to war with my cutlery. The juice was very fresh and yum, and the service of eggs very generous.

UPDATE: I'm sorry, I really am but the last two sessions were kinda meh. The balance of the eggs were off (it can't ALL be Parmasan), the coffee was bitter, and they messed up our order. But, most egregiously, the bacon was thin, mostly fat and barely cooked - that's a pretty fundamental fail there. Really hope they lift their game soon.I swear, North Melbourne is fast becoming the capital of first rate brunch cuisine. We had the chicken n waffles and the chili scrambled eggs. The latter was very special. They opted for a sloppier scramble, which you don't often see at restaurants, and it was chok full of wonderful, fragrant herbs. The first bite was so different I was almost put off and then my mouth began to salivate and I needed more. A very fine and interesting scrambled egg. Unrelated to the eggs, the service was excellent. Yeah, go there.EDIT: My brunch companion told to add that the cofee was amazing"."

I came here once before for takeaway and had a bad experience. So to return here and have a nice brunch in the back courtyard was good!My friends and I enjoyed our coffees and food, which tasted as good as it looked! Service was prompt which we appreciated.

ery nice! A bit hard to miss if you're driving past, and almost just as hard to miss walking past, a little tucked away & blends in with the surroundings of Queensbury Street.Love the space & pictures drawn on the walls.Food as first glance seems a bit complicated, but works really well. I had the sweet potato & pumpkin hash, kale, red quinoa, avocado, fetta & fried egg - being a huge avocado fan, I was hoping for the avocado to be the star, but it wasn't. I ordered it anyway, and was pleasantly surpised - and always happy to have a bit of potato for breakfast. So tasty!Coffee is just wonderful too.

Stepping away from the overcrowded cafes, this place is definitely a little gem. Beautifully presented backyard, extensive variety of food. And a heart warming coffee which lit up the cold and windy Melbourne morning!I have only tried the pumpkin and potato hash brown and already quite impressed. Hodjicha latte is definitely another highlight coz you don’t find it often in other places, a great alternative to coffees on the weekends.Staff is welcoming and attentive, would definitely return.

A favourite brunch place of mine. Great coffee and food. Generous portions and even their simple fresh orange juice is tasty and the best pick-me-up on a sleepy morning.

The classic Melbourne neighbourhood cafe - good coffee, a nice range of teas and some superb choices for breakfast, all with the option of tables inside, a bar in the window and a lovely little courtyard out back.Staff were great, quickly clearing tables, not afraid to be honest with people about their chances of a table when the cafe was full, and offering to move us from the bar to the courtyard when a table became free after we ordered.Coffee was good, and fast, and the food choices were excellent - there was a good range of gluten-free options and a superb French toast for those who are not big on eggs.

Friendly staff & great service. Courtyard is a nice option to have. Only thing was there were blowflies everywhere. Not the staff's fault at all but would sit inside if i was to ever visit again.Definitely cheaper options around the area. I got the Fresh herbs through scrambled eggs" - If you do not like coriander do not get this meal."
