Mercure Newcastle Airport

We unfortunately missed a flight so were looking for a last minute booking for 7 people. These guys fitted us in and were super accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Everyone we dealt with were very friendly.Rachel in the restaurant was AMAZING. She was so friendly and patient with kids. She was in the restaurant by herself, but met everyone’s needs and exceeded our expectations. The kids voted her “best waitress ever!”. I totally agree. Thank you Rachel.Thank you all for making a particularly stressful time a nice memory.

average one bed room....240 a night. a.high rise building but no balcony...very clean....only 4 Foxtel tv channels....no chairs outside for smokers....big shower stall...6 coffee sachets...posh restaurant in foyer......long walk to Newcastle airport so ask at desk if their shuttle is running.....

Super lovely staff and clean bedrooms. We were able to get a room last minute. The food at the restaurant was superb, would definitely recommend the ravioli

We had a brilliant experience here last night. Possibly the best airport hotel experience I’ve had in Australia. Any interaction with a staff member of any kind was positive. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable, restaurant had excellent food and was well presented. Even a nice view of the airport!

My son and I had to stay at the Mercury due to flight cancellation and early flight next morning. It was easy to book and we arrived a little early and checked in very easily. Our room was a twin and soundproof which was great. The bathroom was very clean and quite large. The beds were comfy. We had room service and the meals were huge and delicious. We checked out easily and the concierge called us a taxi which took all of two minutes to get to the airport but we had luggage so it was a good idea! I think the one thing that stands out though for me is the after service I received. I left a very much loved bracelet in the room and when I contacted the hotel they said cleaning had found it and they would return it to me. I just received it today. The honesty and helpfulness from the hotel staff really makes a big difference and I highly recommend this hotel especially the customer service side of things. 5 stars Mecure Newcastle :)

Excellent!! Staff, restaurant had beautiful food. They don't run the shuttle to the airport for guests any more.

Good place to stay close to the airport. Great if you are working in the vicinity. Book early as its popular! They need to refresh their menu though as it's a bit limited. Notes - there is nothing else really around the area so you do need a car if you want to do anything
