Cowell Jade Motel

Stopped in to buy some jewelry/stone (of my namesake) - A young fella owns the shop and his mum is at the shop front, lovely people and happy to help find you something that suits your taste whether it’s green/black jade, lots of simple designs and not expensive.

One star way to generous. Absolutely appalling accommodation, most of us had no hot water my room smelt like some one had died in there. Carpets were dirty. My door handel fell off opening it. The clothes line was a piece of sting between two trees. One plus and one only the guy in the office was cherry polite and helpful

Didn't go into motel just into to gift shop where all the jade was. So much to look at. The guy behind the counter was so full of information and wanted tell us everything. Ir was definitely worth having a look.

The jade shop is a hidden gem of a place, with its large selection of jade jewelry and friendly service. The jade is all sourced locally from the nearby mine and much of the jewelry is made on site.Note: This review is for the shop not the motel.

Battery missing from somke alarm heaps of dust under the wooden top buy the window. And spiders Web hanging buy the air conditioner just a bit of house keeping but other wise a great place to stay and real good people.

I visited the Jade Shop in June & bought a lovely pair of Jade earrings. Angus was very helpful at that time. Unfortunately I left my prescription glasses behind....I rang Angus when I realised I had left them & he said they were left on the counter. I asked if he could post them on to Perth as I was on my way there....he said it wasn't a problem. 4 weeks later I got to my Perth destination & they hadn't arrived. I called & spoke to Angus's mother & she said she would get Angus to call me back.....I have called at least 5 times, left messages & emailed once since, but they haven't even had the courtesy to respond. As a business owner myself, I find their behaviour very disappointing & would never treat my customers this way. I certainly won't be back or recommend them to anyone.

Didn't stay here, but enjoyed visiting their Jade shop.Nice carvings and jewellery. Some really interesting pieces.

Dirty. Jade show room was a mess dead flies everywhere.Wouldn't stay at the motel attached , can't imagine it would be any different to the front.

Rood is very neat and tidy.Didn't expected such a good service for the price we paid. Well maintained rooms.
