Hadleys Cycles - Giant Newcastle (Maitland Branch)

We went to Hadleys to buy a couple of mountain bikes. The service was great, the man made sure we were fitted right and the bike was going to suit our needs. He quickly figured we were experienced riders and so helped us make some good decisions.

Very friendly service, happy Dad and Son with 2 new mountain bikes.

Avoid like the plague. Went in today to buy some chainring spacers and got some lecture about quality control on parts that I never mentioned. Neither of the guys working there were interested in helping and seem put out after I unwittingly interrupted their ice cream break. The main person I dealt with obviously had no idea of what is available in today’s market for bikes and went on some diatribe about parts that I was not even seeking help with. “Shimano don’t make a cassette that big.” I wasn’t asking about cassettes, I was asking about chain rings and spacers. After the interrogation was over, all I wanted to do was get some shims to adjust my chainline. This started another whole line of questions about parts that were irrelevant. This same guy then got frustrated when I said no to buying a new bike after he hinted that his help only extended to bikes sold by them. I didn’t want his help, I just wanted chainring spacers. For all his smugness, this guys knowledge was overly poor to the point where I’m not sure he knew anything about bikes or their equipment. It’s retailers like this that make me thank all the online stores. The sooner this business succumbs to Internet shopping, the better. Unhelpful and condescending attitudes. Spend your money elsewhere...

Not allowed into shop, stopped at barricade, stood waiting for 10 minutes outside, no service. Very poor

Big wrap to Sam...got me a tyre and some good advice late on a Friday afternoon, then fitted it onto the wheel straight away with no charge....great service!

Went in with my Aldi ebike for maintenance and tuning. James expertly transformed it into what handles like a completely different machine, without changing out any parts. I asked if I could pay more than what he asked and he refused... I couldn't be more satisfied.

Great service, knowledgeable, and happy to fix another bike shops stuff up. Pointed out how and what needed to be maintained. Very happy now we have a safe bike. Thank you

Visited Hadleys store today and was not allowed in. Service was non existent, no help what so ever. We asked to look at the bikes and was told we are not allowed to enter and would not bring the bikes closer to front door for us to see. We drove all the way from Denman. Waste of time. Will never go back

Will never go to this store or recommend anyone to them, took my kids there to buy two $400 bikes and the elder man down sold the bikes pretty much was saying not to buy bmx or any other bike as they aren't for jumping and what not, So rude i was left shocked and stumped as to why someone would not want $800. Active cycles here we come.
