I rented a place from this real estate agent for a few years and they were ok to deal with but not really exceptional. So far behind the times with everything being manual and an awful website. They use to email me properties without consent and didn’t have an unsubscribe button. I asked them to take me off many times but they didn’t. Nice guy, but his lack of willingness to get modern IT let him down.

Dealing with Louis Christou from Christou & Co has been an absolute nightmare. I have been a client of Christou & Co for 6 years and mostly dealt with Melissa, who was fabulous but since she has left and I've had to deal with Louis, whom has been horrible & unprofessional, I have taken my business elsewhere. My advise to anyone would be stay away from Christou & Co.UPDATE - The mess that was created was because of YOU not doing your job properly Louis. The tenant in my dad's property was being managed by your agency and I was paying you to manage the property, therfore it was your responsibility to make sure the house was left in a state of cleanliness like when he moved into it but you didn't do that. Instead you released the Bond knowing the house was putrid and that I would have to pay to have it professionally cleaned even though in your contract it stated that the tenant was to have the house cleaned and the carpets steam cleaned, none of that happened and all because you were angry that we got another agent to sell my dads house and not you. And as I explained to you at the time when you called me at 8am on a Saturday morning to give me your selling pitch. It was not only my decision to make as my sister's were also beneficiary's on my dad's Will and they didn't want you selling the house because of all of the bad reviews.

Currently renting from Christou & Co, I have found Louis to be communicative, responsive and reliable. A number of repairs that needed to be addressed were done so promptly and without fuss. Louis ensured to check in with us as we settled into our new home and readily shared his knowledge of the area, which he clearly loves. It is lovely to have a real estate who actually cares and gets the job done!

The members of Christou and Co have been highly professional and responsive throughout our lease. They have always been easy to communicate with in regard to any leasing queries. They have been amazing to work with. Thanks Christou and Co for the great leasing experience over the past 12 months.

Firstly I am surprised at the number of positive reviews about these agents, although it appears most are from landlords. My experience as a tenant was quite different. Granted we had an unreasonable landlord, but as property managers they certainly did not help. They were often very slow or completely unresponsive in responding to issues, did not abide by the tenancy laws and their communication was terrible, especially from Melissa. I certainly would not engage them as agents if I were renting out or selling a place and I wouldn't recommend them as property managers to any prospective tenants.

Recently took out a lease with Christou&Co and found the experience fantastic. The responsiveness and professionalism shown by Louis and Phoenix were of high quality. Whilst they may be only a small realestate, their primary focus is on care and dedication to clients and tenants' needs. Thank you Christou&Co!

We rented through Christou & Co for the past 4 years and the experience has been positive the whole time. Melissa was very professional. There were a lot of infrastructure upgrades going on during our tenancy (part of a body corporate) but every time we were contacted to ensure we were not inconvenienced (especially with a young family). Melissa was great to deal with, always kept our best interests front of mind. I would highly recommend the team at Christou and Co. and will be back to see them in the future if we are moving back to the area.

Currently renting with Christou. They used to have a great representative who was really on the ball and a kind, genuine person. It appears she's left and Louis has been left holding the fort and he's not the best - rude, makes a lot of mistakes, has made threats to us over reasonable requests like asking to hang some hooks. Louis continually tries to violate the residential tenancies act so he's either inept or shady. Just stay clear if you can - or at least filter the reviews here by lowest rating" for a realistic view of what it may be like dealing with them.Edit: After responding that they have no record of us renting he reached out to me to ask if it was me. I first dealt with Christou & Co a few years back when finding a rental near the hospital I worked at- I hadn't rented a lot but I found that renting from this agent was a really friendly, practical, and professional experience.Unfortunately the landlord changed real estate agents during length of lease and I had come to see the difference in quality once I was no longer managed as a tenant by Christou & Co. I particularly noticed this change in agents by the way Melissa had been previously dealing with an any renting matter with a real 'common-sense' to things and with regards to arrangements in the particular property I was living in at the time as a shared block.So much so that was the experience as a tenant this regarded that years later when I was settling for an off-the-plan apartment i had purchased in this area; I approached Louis, Melissa and team as I had a strong preference for them to manage my property as a rental investment. It was definitely the right choice as Louis took the time to brief me on his understanding of the apartment and off-the-plan property market and potential pitfalls, etc. As I had moved interstate pending the property settlement, Christou & Co acted on my behalf for pre-settlement inspections and arranged suitable modifications with the builder that would assist the apartment long-term as a rental investment... not only that; Louis took care of a lot of the pre-settlement coordination, inspection and management at this time as a completely complimentary service on the fact I had signed with them on as my real estate agent.Apartment is now settled with peace of mind and after having a tenant moving in only a fortnight after completed purchase. Melissa is excellent and responsive as she worked closely to get an appropriate tenant through regular updates, and check-ins.Upon all the above I would thoroughly recommend the Christou & Co real estate team both as a tenant and a landlord... A highly regarded Real-Estate Service!

Louis and the team were great to deal with, and very responsive when we needed help. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a property to rent as they're knowledgeable, efficient, and dependable.
