Aussie Angler Fly Fishing

I've just moved to this side of town and was excited to have a great shop close by. The store is great, but while talking to a staff member another staff member barged over and was rude, short, no eye contact, stand offish body language. It was almost as if she didn't want me in the store. I felt unwelcome.

Simply cannot recommend enough. Rick, Jo, Mick and the team go above and beyond. I needed a rod that was out of stock at short notice and they went out of their way to source it directly from the distributor and arranged for it to arrive before my overseas trip - and this is not the first time! This shop continues to be the high water mark for customer service.

Fantastic place to shop. Was getting Xmas presents for my grandson who loves fishing and I had no idea.Staff where so helpful and informative. Highly recommend. I'm sure he will be back for more!! Thanks guys

Great customer service and so helpful. New to the game of fly. But so willing to help the novice to explore the wonders of fly fishing. Will be back for sure.

Rick and the team are the best in the business. Great, personal service and always have what you need. Excellent supporters of the fly-fishing community, clubs and competitions.

It's an amazing fishing shop. Anton and John are extremely helpful and friendly. I felt like part of a new family on my first visit. We spent a couple hours there to get fly rod and some more stuff, and John explained us all very detail and even coached us to use those stuff.They got everything and you'll be served by people who really know what they're doing. They're more than just a retailer.

Going downhill. All they stock now is fly fishing gear. It used to be even, fly fishing and spin fishing.I guess their target market it not the average fisherman who would struggle to even catch covid, however I was a little disappointed when their cheapest reel was over $150. Ok not much but considering 96% of the area goes fishing once a year, there is definitely a market for cheaper gear in the store.Friendly team of staff though and well kept store.

Walked in with a Daiwa top and was told I'm in the wrong place.Having worked at Hook Up Bait and Tackle for a number of years never did we once tell a customer they were in the wrong place...Once the salesman told me that Daiwa don't make fly gear... Um New Era mate.. , I still didn't let that bother me, but when he asked my wife where she would be shopping after I was done that got my hackles up. Pun intended!!! You sir is what's wrong with the tackle Industry.Boy I hope no WIRF member reads this. How on God's green earth do you know if my wife is an angler or not.I was there to get her a pair of G3 boots, waders, guide jacket, scott 6wt, lampson reel with line, and some flys.Mate you should never make assumptions about people.Perhaps you need some customer service training.I've heard great things about you store.But for me it's a swing and a miss.Don't see this as a tare down look at it as a way to improve.

I ordered a pair of waders online and stupidly ordered the wrong shoe size. I called the team and they ran to the post office to grab it for me and changed it over. Incredible customer service, the birthday present will now be the correct size!!! Thank you so much

Had no issues with shipping or purchasing a reel online. even sent me a free sticker.
