By far my favourite place to eat. Simple pizza done RIGHT. The best calamari in Melbourne, Amazing small good selection and a good spread of mains to please everyone. Parking is a breeze. Delightfully copy on a cold day and the views are stunning.

We ventured to Pier Farm lafter spying it on Instagram and thinking it would be quite an atmospheric location. No doubt it would be more so on a sunny day but I still found it quite lovely, thought not sure why we were seated on the table right next to the one with the window view instead of the one with the window view when it was clearly available. We enjoyed the yummy complimentary bread to start and then my husband stuck to the seafood theme with fish and chips given we were waterside, I opted for pizza as I’d noticed the sizeable wood fired oven upon entry. It was delicious and whilst I agree with the reviews that majority suggest the menu is overpriced as many dishes are quite expensive, there are still some reasonable options and I personally see the value in it for the setting.

Six of us had a lovely Sunday lunch - good menu with a variety of dishes. A quiet warm venue for a cold day. Shared a lovely anti pasta, salad and had a tender moist duck confit for the main. Staff were attentive.

No great expectations coming to Pier Farm for lunch as we had a birthday function. Presented with the set menu with nothing really jumping out as a must try. Went with pork belly for entree, fillet of beef for main and tiramisu for dessert.Portion sizes were strange, not sure if things had been done by eye or weighed out but there was definitely some larger dishes and smaller ones across the table. I managed to get the tail of the fillet too and it was a bit over cooked for medium rare more towards medium well. The photos are of the dishes as they arrived to the table. Not particularly well assembled, but there was some effort extended.Would I come back here? Probably not, but hey, the view is worth a visit.

We had a great experience dining at Pier Farm on Easter Friday. The place was so easy to park in. We parked right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant was away from the busy shopping district. The time taken to prepare for our food was not long at all. And the timing between the first and second courses was quite appropriate. The food was really within and/or beyond our expectation. It was more stable food than fine dining. Four of us, two adults and two teenager girls, all liked what we ordered. The proportion was generous too.And the best of all, they didn't have a public holiday surcharge for that day. But we gave a tip to make it up. We will definitely come again.

Lovely food but astounded to be told just before 9pm that if we want dessert we need to order it now as they are about to close! On a Saturday night!! Food bill almost $500 between the four of us and virtually pushed out the door. Pretty disappointed. You need to be told this when you book. Not good enough. The people on the table nearby still had wine in their glasses. Do not recommend.

I think restaurant manager needs to review her career and life choices. Never felt like I’ve bothered someone so much by being a paying customer in my life. Our waitress was lovely and was the only positive of our dining experience. This place should consider rebranding as Karen’s Farm.

EDIT: disappointing behaviour from the owner and management. unfortunately ruined our dining experience completely, do not recommend.loved the seafood linguine, baked scallops, apple crumble and pear cake!! the view of the glittering water is so stunning, i love how the sunlight comes through the windows.i also really enjoyed the warm sourdough bread with butter as a starter!
