If you are like me and have been searching for the perfect bag for a while, then you are in the right place – because I found mine! I started with a no-obligation one-on-one video session with Matt, which was super helpful for me to work out what I needed. After this, Matt really kindly actually made a bespoke bag for me to suit what I was after. When it arrived it was fantastic and so well-made, you could see all the work that Matt had put into it. He puts a lot of thought into all the design details and this shows when you actually start using it, where everything has a place (even a spot for a wet umbrella!), I can turn my bag into a backpack when I need it, and it looks really great too. I’d strongly recommend you booking in for a one-on-one sessions and having a chat with Matt to see if he can help you find your perfect bag too!

I have a customised A5 TTTHING that I use as an over the shoulder bag. It is awesome! Sturdy, well made and a great design. It really is exactly what I need for the basic purse/phone/glasses/keys combo. I use it pretty much every day.The pocket along the bottom turns out to be brilliant for putting my house keys - no more rustling around figuring out where I put them. I highly recommend these locally made bags.

I have bought several of Matt's beautiful bags over the last decade or more. I have four of them in three sizes, including 2 of the smallest shoulder bags. The larger ones are great for travel with all their pockets to keep passports, phones, e-readers, wallets etc. The small ones are handy and light for everyday use, and prevent me from accumulating too much junk! I especially love my one with the cuisinaire design - complete strangers of a certain vintage come up and admire it! All the bags are beautifully made, and are still in excellent condition - the zips still work perfectly. A sponge down keeps them clean, but if you need to you can wash them in cold soapy water. A dog tried, but failed to chew through the strap of one. They are really easy to order online (just hard to decide which pattern you want), and I have found the patterns and colours as seen online to accurately reflect the real thing.

Fabulous bags that I have been using for at least a decade. Looking forward to a new bag to replace a truly wonderful bag that will be used around the home as a gardening bag.

Do not recommend. I was promised a two week turnaround between ordering at a market and delivery. After some months the item was claimed to be posted, but it didn’t arrive. I was later told it was sent to the wrong address and they couldn’t get it back, and couldn’t make me a replacement product. I was offered to choose a much cheaper product; and the difference would be refunded. An item that I was promised would be included with my purchase (at the time I first ordered it) was not provided.Now the owner refuses to refund my money and does not respond to my kind requests for the refund.The bag is okay, but not worth it’s cost. It looks great, but the strap constantly slips off my shoulder, or sits uncomfortably on my neck when worn across the body.I’ve spoken to a few other people who have ordered bags from this person. All but one of them also have nightmare stories about their purchase.I recommend avoiding this business.Edit: After months of trying to resolve this directly with the owner, it was resolved within 72 hours of me posting this review. They also posted me out a new strap which is a lot better.

Sitting in a small cafe in Istanbul, my husband and I were calculating what we could buy for lunch with our remaining Turkish coins before leaving for the airport to return home. A small pizza to share, but not enough for a drink. A young woman sitting nearby asked if she could buy us a drink. “You must be from Melbourne,” she said. “I saw your mattt bag!” She reached for her mattt bag, pulled her chair over, and we shared a merry lunch! I bought a matttpack backpack online about 4 and a half years ago and I absolutely love it. I get comments on it all the time! I've been using it pretty much daily for all of those 4 years and it still looks good as new. I did recently have a problem with the zip so i contacted the Matt the owner through his website and he responded pretty much immediately saying to send it down to him and he would fix it for me. I sent my bag down to Melbourne from Sydney the week before Christmas, and I had it back all fixed within a few days. Amazing service and brilliant quality product!!

I bought several Mattt bags many years ago when on a trip to Melbourne. It was a lovely experience meeting Matt in his shop and the bags have stood the test of time as well as being completely different from mainstream. Thanks Mattt!
