Really good local hangout.Bit higher end than your local establishment.Great main bar with exceptional bar staff.Food menu is pretty decent, say 3 tapas and some bread would be sufficient for most couples.Front area is really nice to sit at, however service can be a bit lacking with some wait staff spending too much time hanging out at the pass.Side rooms are a little noisy too due to their size. All in all a great place to go for couple or small (4-8) groups.

Reminiscence is a beautiful venue with some great options for food and beverages. Unfortunately tonight’s experience was not great. I tried to order some of the more expensive red wine from the menu, after asking for 4 different bottles of the higher category wine on the menu, I was informed that the each of my requests were out of stock. This is not typically an issue for me or my partner. The main concern was that the waitress informed us that the wine was out of stock due to COVID shipping issues. Every wine I ordered was Australian grown which should not be affected by a pandemic that ended 12 months ago. When we did receive our 5th option, the red wine had been refrigerated which was not ideal. The first 2 tapas were absolutely amazing. The roast lamb with pea purée was beyond belief and the king prawns were exquisite. The following tapas were sub-par. The lamb ribs and pork belly were plated beautifully but were incomparable to the initial dishes. At the conclusion of the evening we were uninterested in tipping due to the initial wine confusion and food inconsistency. Upon reading the bill, I discovered that we had been charged for the most expensive red wine ($280) when the wine we actually ordered was only $82. The menu displayed a 2018 Red but was actually a 2020 shiraz.I do not believe that this overcharge was international by the staff. I I do think that an upper class restaurant should resolve the issues of menu inconsistency and wine stock concerns at a minimum.I do hope that ‘reminiscence’ can grow and change as I believe the concept of the venue is valuable to the mid-mountain demographic. I hope that next visit resolves the initial concerns as I would be a regular customer.

Just Wow! This place can not be faulted! The food is outstanding! The service is impeccable! The atmosphere is lively, the furnishings are comfortable and elegant. There is an extensive range of alcohol that must be seen to believe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and room for larger gatherings. We ordered 10 dishes off the Tapas menu and we wished our stomachs were bigger!Thank you guys for an enjoyable night and a special thanks to Ellysa for taking our order and checking in on us throughout the evening.I would give you 10 stars if I could!

Food mostly delicious. The waitress needs to listen what U order. Cost us $120 more as we ordered one dish with 4 pieces but she brought 4 dishes! Didn't want to admit her mistake ?? . She just brushed it off ?? Cheese platters etc delicious

Dropped in to try the tapas after hearing great things, sadly, we found 2 out of the 3 dishes we ordered below average & not worth the price we paid. Beef cheeks were full of gristle & the beef brisket was dry. Both dishes could have used a bit more ‘punch’ in flavour, or even more sauce. Our saving grace was the pork belly (& why I’ve left 3 stars instead of 2), it was simply amazing! The crackling was perfect, it was sweet, sticky & spicy! - honestly, so good. The staff were also super friendly, welcoming & attentive.

We chose this place because we liked its atmosphere, people seemed to be having fun so we gave it a go. We were welcomed by a nice girl that asked us if we had a reservation, since we didn't, she gave us the option to sit at the bar which is what we wanted originally so the first part of this visit was already a win. She brought an extensive menu with a lot to choose from both food and drink wise. I went for the jalapeno and mango margarita because, how couldn't you. It was a win. If I didn't have to be focused the next day I would have dived in, but since that wasn't the case, I needed to show strength and sip it as slow as I could. This was fantastic, I truly enjoyed the experience of each sip. My boyfriend ordered a riesling and had the same dilemma, we both chose to behave and moved into the food. As I said, the options are great, we could have ordered it all but since we haven't yet won the lottery we selected what was most attractive to us. We were not in a rush so we took our time to read the menu properly and thought that ordering something basic could help us to get things moving. Next minute, the House Baked Bread with Cultured Butter, Dukkah and Smoked Salt arrived. OMG there was nothing basic about this, it was just delicious. The Swedish have a word for things that are just enough" and this was that

Really loved it. Fantastic addition to Mountains stable of great restaurants. We went for lunch.Food, service, atmosphere all spot on. Amazing range of whiskies and spirits.Well worth the drive from Lithgow for me and from Sydney for my friend.

Entered with my partner and paid upfront for a tap beer and apple cider then sat down. There was the most awful smell from under the deck that permeated everywhere including inside. I am sure it was a dead rodent !Waited 20 minutes and no sign of drinks. Approached bar and saw a half poured beer 1.5m from the tap. I asked the lady. She told me that she hadn't got round to finishing the pour. She the proceeded to empty some of it and continue filling it + grabbed cider and cup of ice.I returned to table and poured cider into glass for partner then quickly realised that it was non alcoholic + my beer was half warm.We finished drink and left due to smell$22 for a warm schooner of beer and a cup of apple juice. Nice one.The young lady on drinks was pleasant but totally out of her depth. No complaints about staff whatsoever. We did inform about dead animal. Funny - just by looking around we could see others affected by smell also.

(Reply to Andrew: We arrived around 7pm on Friday the 28th May.)I can not adequately express my disappointment. After almost an hour of waiting to be served we left. No apologies from the staff. The food everyone else was eating seemed to be absolutely amazing though!!Back story, they were quite busy. We were told this. They sat us down and took our drink order on the spot and suggested we order the house bread. We did. When they returned with the drinks and bread we were told they'd be back soon for our orders.30minutes after arriving another couple was sat next to us who obviously come from inside as they had half consumed drinks. We attempted to order and were told they be right back. They weren't.40minutes after arriving the couple next us were served the food they must of ordered inside. Yet again we attempted to get service and were told they'd be right with us.Almost an hour passes and the staff seem still seem incredibly busy. We are obviously no priority.Walking out, the meals everyone else were enjoying all smelled and looked amazing. The other patrons all seemed to be very happy. We got no apology.I'm going to assume there was something going wrong that night and we just drew the short straw. I personally won't be back though. If you want to try, I'm 95% sure you will have a better time than I.Still so upset I didn't really get to try anything.
