Had a great experience here doing the introductory modules. Steve is a passionate instructor and artist and the space he has created is very cool. Highly recommend.

Just a wonferful experience. Can't recommend this enough for anyone looking to try their hand at blacksmithing!We had an excellent time making our bottle openers during our evening course. The group was nice and small with plenty of room and tools for everyone. Steve and Sam were incredibly friendly and helpful without being overbearing in any way. Just a lovely place to learn and try something new in a wonderfully relaxed yet very safe atmosphere.Even the bottle openers we made are just wonderful. It gave us a chance to try out hands at a few different skills to create something unique. I struggled more than anyone else in the class thanks to vision issues and still came out with a wonderful handmade piece that I love.They even took some photos and videos while we were working as keepsakes.Can't wait to come back and try out hands at something new next time!

What a fantastic experience! So much to learn from great teachers who really took the time to make sure the small class was supported. My partner and I shared an amazing Valentine’s Day with the boys at Waterside Metal Art. I’ve already recommended their workshops to friends and family members who I think would also love this experience.

My husband & I had a fantastic afternoon in the Guided Forging - Fire Poker workshop under the expert guidance of Steve & his assistant Ari. Their passion for their art is clearly shown and the step by step process Steve takes you through makes the journey thoroughly enjoyable. And the workshop is a creatives dream! Such a great location along the Maribyrnong River with fantastic views. If I lived closer I'd be there weekly. Definitely looking forward to taking on another of their workshops next year. I attended a session with some friends, all of us were first timers, to make a bottle opener, and it was an amazing and fantastic experience. Steve and Sam were great instructors, and provided a lot of patience and advice for all the students. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone with an interest in metalwork to check them out. The location is beautiful, the workshop doggo was gentle and friendly, and the studio really encouraged everyone to make their pieces personal, whilst still providing the necessary skills so that everyone walked away with a functional and unique memento. I can't wait to go back again.(I seem to be having trouble attaching a video to my review, sorry!)

I had such a great experience doing a workshop with Steve! It was incredibly welcoming and even though I'd never done anything like it, I came out of it with a beautiful hand-forged bottle opener. I did the kitchen utility knife course at Waterside Metal Art last weekend. I'd never done any forging before, but with a bit of help and a lot of guidance was able to make something that I was really happy with. Would definitely recommend.
