Lionia is absolutely my favourite artist. I fell in love with Lionia's artwork. I finally purchased a piece and it was even more lovely in person. My first piece was 11:11. I can't stop looking at it every day. The detail and the colours are incredible and it makes me feel so lucky. Lionia is so talented. My husband was so impressed we introduced Lionia's pieces into our showroom at Lumber Furniture to share with our clients.

I'm disappointed once again to find an artist who knows nothing about Maaori. The Maaori Warrior is depicted in your painting as wearing a mask, covered with decorative lines of another culture white/asian fusion or what ever... that resembles nothing of the meaning of our men who wear Mataora. We have revived our tradtions for our people...in your interpretation I see ingnorance and privilege. A fanciful notion that it's still okay to sell our traditons in this way. Just stop!
