**Edited 28 May 2022**We were here again to try their other menus. This time waiting time was considerable as there were many people. However, you could tell that they were frazzled, not enough staff by the looks of it. I can understand staff shortages with the explosion of covid infection even if its by choice due to cost. As long as its a resonable waiting time and the dish is worth waiting for.I took 1 star off of the rating simply because my dish - the nasi campur was not that pleasant. I find the mixture of dishes on my plate do not gel well. The other menu such as nasi goreng babat was delicious, ayam geprek was still the same. Moist chicken and big portion. However, it looks rather plain on the plate.Menu has changed slightly from three weeks ago.‐------‐---------------------------7 May 2022We were here a day after the grand opening. Food took abt 15 mins to be served, which was decent. Husband was impressed with the ayam geprek as the fried chicken was still moist inside, and tasted great. But be warned that it was smothered with hot sambal (chilli). The nasi goreng was also delicious so was the nasi padang. The restaurant was simple looking but the food was great.

Authentic and tasty - the bad reviews here are all from disgruntled uber delivery drivers it seems - stand out dish by far the satay ayam lontong

Very nice Indonesian food. This is similar to what i used to eat growing up in Indonesia. Love their salted fish fried rice and fried duck with kecombrang rice. The grilled fish is nice too for those who like sweet soy sauce.

Love all the duck dishes been going often to the restaurant when I have the time. The iga bakar is the best in Perth since other restaurants lost their authenticity.

This place has a basic choice of Indonesian food. However, I can say the food are pretty good. I was very satisfied with the green broad bean. The broad beans were exceptionally good, haha. You probably wonder why I gave them 5 stars. There are a few points: the sambal, the tempe, the tahu isi, and my meal (it was nasi Liwet which is more like nasi Uduk but I’m not an expert about it, anyway I love it).Let me explain more why I think it’s more like nasi Uduk rather than nasi Liwet. When I was young (8 to 10 years), my family used to visit my relative in Solo during school holiday. During the visit, I would have nasi Liwet in Solo (Surakarta) from a lady who carried a big basket on their back. She used banana leaf as a small plate and the rice was only a small size plus a few pieces shredded chicken and choco veggies with coconut gravy. It was different with the current nasi Liwet you can find in Solo. While nasi Uduk, I had this experience when I lived in Jakarta during my teenage years. We would have nasi Uduk every weekend. If any of you read this might know it as “Nasi Uduk Krekot”. It used to be on the side of the road in front of the Krekot theater with a tent. The rice will be much a like this photo. It will have fried chicken (any part of the chicken your choice), fried tofu, fried tempeh and a sprinkle of fried shallot. The cook will fried all of your choice and serve it hot.I love both of Nasi Liwet and Nasi Uduk. To me, the name of the food on the menu didn’t really matter because as Nasi Liwet serve as good as Nasi Uduk, is good enough for me (well of course to me the super star actually the green broad bean). My friend choose Ayam Geprek, it wasn’t so bad at all. The chicken was fried just as the way as we expected.I will definitely come back for more. Thank you for satisfying my craving for Indonesian food.

This is perhaps the best Perth provider of Indonesian home cooked food that you can find. It isn’t fancy, but it is popular with Indonesians who are just looking for a taste of home. There are quite a few Indonesian restaurants in Perth but this one is my wife’s new favorite place. She’s Indonesian too, by the way. Prices are good, the place is functional and tucked away just off Morley drive. The owners are friendly and portion sizes are good.
