Plenty river walk
A nice forest walk through the deep river gorge. The walk is not marked and the path is narrow and sometimes tricky to follow, so you can feel walking in the wild. It's hard to get seriously lost though. There are two little bridges over the river, the one we took looked a bit scary but turned out to be really stable.

What a wonderful experience. Love it. Just don't get close to and keep a close eye when you pass kangaroos.

Plenty river walk
This area is easily accessible from Hawkstowe rail station as there are numerous entrances along Wilton Vale road. On this visit we drove down to where a gate stops further access on Wilton Vale Road. This seemed to be a popular area for walkers and birdwatchers alike. We even came across a group of youths who had cycled down to wetlands where they were enjoying fish and chips (Not sure where they bought it as there appeared to be no shops nearby). There are no public conveniences in this part of the park but plenty of signs to help guide you around this large park. We intend to visit again to explore more.
