Dentists on the Gold Coast

The Dentist on the Gold Coast used to be Railway Dental before they moved into this modern venue and I have been their patient for several years. They are a wonderful crew that never disappoints. Apart from my regular two-yearly checkup with plaque removal, I have also had major dental, mostly crowns, every year.The practice is a preferred provider for several private health care insurance companies and that certainly helps with the bill. But the main reason I keep coming back is that I trust in the service. I know I don't have to be afraid, even if the procedure is complicated and a little scary. They look after me and keep me pain free, educate me with regards to the procedure, about their modern equipment and about my role to play in keeping my gums healthy. I recommend the Dentists on the Gold Coast wholeheartedly.

Dr Amar is kind, gentle and very attentive. I was highly anxious on my first visit and Dr Amar, Sarah and all the staff at Dentists on the Gold Coast were really considerate and supportive of me. So happy to have found a bunch of lovely humans that i can trust. Thank you

This practice just lost a 3 year patient because of their poor service and unprofessional behaviour and I want to share my terrible experience.A month ago I booked an appointment for Saturday 13th May, then 2 weeks ago I received a call to confirm the appointment which I did. On Thursday morning I received another call saying a $50 deposit was required by 7pm same day or my appointment would have been canceled. As I was at work I said I would have tried to call back later which I did, claiming I was OK with deposit buta) I didn't feel comfortable to give my card details over the phone;b) timing was very inappropriate (48 hours only before the appointment);c)considering the $50 deposit had never been mentioned before (we spoke on the phone on 11th April to book the appointment and on 29th April to confirm it) threatening me to cancel the appointment was unfair and unprofessional.The receptionist understood and told me the $50 deposit might have been waived for this time. Anyway on Friday morning I received another call saying the deposit was required in order to keep the appointment.Why did you only mention the deposit 48 hours before the appointment and never mentioned any other time you spoke to me over the phone? Is this how you treat your patients and communicate to them? Long story short they lost a patient.
