Picaluna - Beautiful Funerals - Dulwich Hill - Cheryl Forbes

When my beautiful mother passed away in March 2020 I knew that the one person I wanted to turn to, to help guide my family and I through such an emotional time, was Cheryl from Picaluna Funerals. I had no hesitation turning to Cheryl especially after getting to know her well as a celebrant colleague. At the time, we were all faced with the added stress of dealing with the harsh Government restrictions on the numbers of mourners allowed at attend a funeral. We have a large family and only 8 were legally allowed to attend. Thankfully Picaluna offer a live streaming service which was watched by family members here in Australia and around the world. Cheryl is a special lady who understands what families are going through and what they need during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Cheryl guided us with warmth and kindness; compassion and empathy and I will forever be grateful for the care I especially felt as we laid our mother to rest. It was terrific to work with Cheryl Forbes of Picaluna to organise and manage my Mother's funeral recently. Cheryl has a respectful, straightforward and compassionate manner. Cheryl effortlessly accomodated my families vast array of values and religions. She also presented Picaluna's varied levels of service in regard to Mum's coffin & the hearse without any pressure. Cheryl helped us sort out the venue for Mum's funeral given all of the restrictions arising from COVID 19 --once again without any pressure. She organised us respectfully so that we felt totally comfortable. I wholeheartedly resommend Cheryl to anyone requiring the services of a Funeral Director. I also wholeheartedly recommend Picaluna. The choices they provide for the coffin, hearse and Funeral Director were terrific. They really looked after Mum & the rest of the family brilliantly.

She was simply magnificent. Cheryl has genuine empathy and exhibits extraordinary kindness in difficult times. Cheryl is wonderfully articulate and brings together the key moments of a person’s life.
