I went on a Sunday with a group of 6 other people. It was a busy morning (we arrived for brunch at 10:30). We had booked a table well before we came to eat (I’d say a week before). Given it’s a small place, when we got there it felt like we were in everyone’s way just waiting for a table. We had booked to avoid the hassle. In saying that - I have to mention the waitresses were really nice, though they forgot a friend’s mocha they were very apologetic about it. However one of the male waiters (maybe a manager even? - based on how the waitresses were asking him questions) wasn’t very personable. My friends had ordered similar meals with different additions/extras - when asked to repeat which was which he seemed annoyed. When we went to pay I also heard him mutter “why are all these people here?” - one of the ladies (who also looked like a manager) was kind enough to allow us to split bill which is why we were at the register. When I heard this, after paying I just asked the people I was with to step outside so we weren’t in his way. I understand it’s a busy place, and it’s small so we should have also considered that when moving around - but micro aggressions like that just aren’t needed.Going to the bathroom, you were bumping into staff trying to service people during a busy time. If people want to dine here with accessibility needs - Their toilet was up a flight of stairs where staff were also going up and down to get supplies etc. so accessing a different restroom if dining here would be best.Food was really nice with great options, and decent serving sizes - pictured is what I ordered. Benedict with extras (goats cheese, avocado, a hash brown, and spinach)It was an okay experience overall.

Walked up to have breakie - excellent service with friendly attentive servers. Breakie was smashed avo and the 5 Breakfast - I have the 5 breakfast which was delicious and my Lizzy had the smashed avo. Coffee for me was long black - nothing to rave about. Anyway just a normal standard eatery - nothing stood out and one of many in the area.So in conclusion- Why couldn’t the sesame seed leave the gambling casino?- Because he was on a roll.Enjoy folks - if you visit you may find something extraordinary so give it a go

I had a cappuccino and croisant here. The coffee is nice, tastes just right and the croisant is not really good but ok. Wait staff is friendly and welcoming. Location is easy to find as well. Good for a weekend chillout or a getaway moment.

Brilliant place for brunch but I will definitely suggest that you book ahead as the place gets pretty busy specially over the weekends.I had the big breakfast and it was top notch. Others who were with me had the mushroom medley, the croissant and the breakfast bruschetta. All the dishes were well prepared and were hearty.The sourdough toast were very well made and had a nice toasty crust. The flat white was also pretty nice.There is nice little parking lot nearby but you’ve to reach there early to make the best of it.

Excellent service. Some dishes were stronger than others. Really loved the zucchini and feta fritters. The special was a beef sirloin steak sandwich which was quite tasty too. Overall staff were really attentive and there was no push to vacate after we finished which is really nice. Drinks were great.

Two of us came to 5five cafe on a Saturday at midday for lunch. We ordered the gnocchi and the ragu pasta. Both pastas were flavoursome and filling. The portion sizes were adequate but could've been a little bigger. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you to 5five in Oakleigh.

A lovely looking cafe on the outside and atmosphere was cosy but i couldnt say much for the food. The eggs came out watery and cold on soggy bread. And although the chorizo was delicious it felt like the serving was suited to a child (considering the price for 3 small pieces). Would not recommend going. Plenty of other good cafes out there.

Definitely a place we like to return to! Nice cafe with a great menu to choose from. We’ve tried the Ragu, Classico burger, Mushroom Medley, Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and none of them disappoints. Even the smaller details such as the chips, sauces and drink were all amazing.Their house made sour dough has to be one the best cafe breads we have ever had so that’s a must try!Lastly, the Benedict is pure perfection. Egg poached correctly, smoked salmon is fresh and the our favourite part is the hollandaise sauce, it’s pure addiction!Definitely a must visit!
