Cover-More Travel Insurance
Lodged a claim with these muppets about a week after returning home. Get confirmation of claim and they will respond in 10 days. 20 days later I contact them again to see how the claim is progressing… they said they are busy, so I asked if they had everything they needed to prevent further delays, they confirmed they did. I get a letter stating they need more info 10 days later… I had already provided the info they were requesting at claim lodgment when I advised I didn’t have the receipt for one of the items. I then get a letter after advising to not worry about that item and they send me another email stating it will be a maximum of 10 days again, 9 days later I get an email stating they are taking longer than 20 business days to process claims…. This company would have to be the worst claims experience you will have. If you don’t make a claim I am sure they are great, but some 2 months after returning home the claim still hasn’t settled. Truly the worst customer experience on offer in my view. And they aren’t even cheap. Perhaps one of the cheaper players would have been better as you would expect this level of service. 100% will not be using this poor excuse for an insurance company again.

Cover-More Travel Insurance
We paid for travel insurance. Our insurance covered the circumstance where the trip was cancelled due to epidermic. Covid happened. The trip was cancelled. It was April 2020 and Covermore‘s argument was that we should’ve known that Covid was happening. As a business person in financial services and someone who has a deep understanding of insurance, I would definitely say this is not an insurer that I would ever use again. Google, can I give them a zero star?

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Airline cancelled the final domestic leg of our international trip while we were still in the air from Singapore to Australia and automatically put us on a flight that departed before we even got off the international flight, which is obviously IMPOSSIBLE for us to have made and also has NOTHING to do with us as the AIRLINE cancelled the flight on us and put us on another flight we weren't even in the country to catch! Covermore is refusing to cover the flights we had to pay for to get all the way home that day, even though the airline cancelled the flight and not us.. What's the point of even having travel insurance covering cancellations if they don't even cover it! Will definitely be going to the ombudsman about this issue as covermore are just white collar theives it seems!

I wouldn't use Covermore ever again. They do not reply to any claims. We have been unable to get any information or any results from our claim.We had travel insurance via covermore and unfortunately we had to make a claim. We submitted our claim on 1st July 2021 via the cover more website. I received a claim number and promise to reply within 10 days. never received any reply even after trying to contact them via emails and phoning. The last time I tried contacting covermore was 24th August 2021. I received an automated reply stating they would aim to respond within 2 days. still waiting.I strongly suggest that you should seek an alternative to Covermore.j.petterssonIpswich Qld 4304

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Took out travel insurance online, they took the money but I received an error message after checkout. Did not received a confirmation of policy. Contacted them straight away. After 3+ weeks and many emails they finally confirmed that I did not have a policy & they would be refunding the money (still pending), the day before our travel. Used to use them regularly, won’t be anymore.

Cover-More Travel Insurance
I had a bad accident on the second day of our 3 week European honeymoon and ended up with 8 broken ribs.We had paid for platinum leisure international insurance with a $860 premium.Our focus was to get home to the children and prepare to move house 4 days after our return flight, so we reported the incident to Cover-more 2 days after the incident ( over 2 weeks before our flight home) so they had plenty of time to arrange get us home on a Business class flight as I was in extreme pain and sitting up for 24 hrs in an economy seat was not possible, I could not even go to the toilet unassisted.My Wife was on the phone to cover-more every morning for at least an hour, we even had our travel agent arrange the business class seats on our flight home and provided cover-more with details and also advised them that there were only 4 seats available so they had to act fast.From that point Cover-more went into a holding pattern that could only be a deliberate business strategy.Daily, we were asked to provide information that we had already given them on our first correspondence.Same questions every day for over a week and eventually they agreed that what we had provided them in our initial correspondence was adequate. Of course by then all business class seats on our flight home were all gone.A few days and hours on the phone later, they agreed that my injuries justified the need for a business class seat home and they proposed a flight 8 days after our booked flight.We had explained in detail in our initial correspondence that we had 3 children at home and my Wife was back at work the day we returned and getting home as we had originally booked was the only option.Cover-more's stance was that is our offer, take it or leave it and the ball is in my court ( exact words )My Wife ended up having to leave me in Europe (great end to our Honeymoon) and return home to the kids. I had to pay for my own return flight home costing $9000, cart around a 35kg snowboard bad around with 8 broken ribs in extreme pain, wearing thongs in 4 degrees because I couldn't put shoes on or bend over.I also had to tie ropes to my jeans, so that I could pull my pants up after going to the toilet. That drew some unwanted attention on my way home.We put a claim in, my Wife is still spending hours on the phone but Cover-more don't want to know us and keep saying how busy they are among a host of other excuses.This has been the worst experience of my life.Our treatment by Cover-more has been inhumane.Feels like we have been scammed by organised criminals.I intend to take this complaint as far as possible. This company is refusing to cover a lady in Thailand covered by her insurance with them. This lady is in a coma in a critical condition and the insurer has refused their claims. Search “Enright family thailand” or similar to get an idea.

Choose any other travel insurance than this mob of misfits and clueless agents who cannot think outside the square. My son put in our claim as you could only have one person do so, but the claim was on behalf of both of us because we travelled together over xmas in Canada 2022 and ended up having the holiday from hell due to the snowstorm etc. I have sent in supporting documents from my email address and the itinerary has both our names on it YET the agent, because of privacy, would not discuss the claim with me when I called for a progress update. Are you kidding! Where is common sense? I am sick to death of people using the Private Laws to make things difficult. How about you employ people who can THINK!!!!!

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Here's the scenario. On the day of departure your airline (in this case Virgin) cancels your flight. You have to replace it with a much more expensive alternative (in this case Qantas) so that we could get our international connection. Surely a realistic expectation would be that this is a basic inclusion in any travel insurance policy? Not so with Covermore. If your travel provider cancels as in this case, you are not covered unless they cancel because of strike action. Pretty poor if you ask me - worse than poor
