Pig & Whistle Tavern
Dropped by after passing through the area and being curious. Found the place had great character and friendly staff. Great range of local and imported beers. Had steak and Guinness pie and was very impressed. Have been back since as a result and will now be a regular. The place is a little gem up in the hills

Excellent Place to visit beyond Sassafras and Olinda junctions. The food is great, the place is busy and the servers are friendly. We had their one and only Stake choice with different sauces (Black pepper / Mushrooms). The meat was a little over cooked than the medium rare we ordered this time, however the potatoes were a bit more tastier than the last time! Be sure you book before you come as you probably won't get a seat without a booking. Oh yes, the car park can be fully packed.

What an amazing Tavern.The bar crew and the other gentleman who greeted us when we first arrived had great customer service skills. The bar crew were very knowledgeable and even when absolutely slammed made sure to acknowledge anyone who went to the bar and let them know they would be with us shortly.The food, well there wasn’t one complaint on the table – everyone really enjoyed their meal. The steak, perfectly cooked and I think one of the best seasoned steaks I have ever had!We 100% will be back!

absolutely love!. Such a beautiful little pub up in the mountains with 5 star food and service. Different eating area's indoor and out all throughout the place you would find a table to suit for sure. Gorgeous pub just full of Beautiful character. Love this place, we shall be back! And the staff are just amazing.

Chose this place after a hike in the ranges. Really nice people hosting and running the place. There was 11 of us and they were able to accommodate for us immediately. The food was really good and fast to get served. We also had a birthday and they were able to bring out one of their desserts with a candle. Really loved the service and food. I guess the only downside was the cost but understand where they are coming from. Would definitely visit again when in the area for lunch/dinner.

Yummy food and great service. We turned up quite late for our booking, right on closing time. However the staff were still very friendly and allowed us to order and enjoy a great meal here. I really like the ambience too, very warm and cozy. Thank you so much for a great night out!

Great food experience and ambience.I love my parmas and the southern style chicken Parma is delish. Also we tried the pommy platter here and value for money. Must try the southern style chicken burger with fries and a pot of ale
