Where to start?! The breakfast menu is small and simple, but the dishes are perfectly done. The parmigiano scrambled eggs on sourdough with streaky bacon was divine: every element was on point from the crispy bacon, to the fluffy eggs piled high with a feathery mound of finely grated parmigiano and a sprinkle of chives. Then there were the pastries... I sampled a few but the standout for me was the apple scroll donut, iconic. Will definitely need to return to try the rarebit toastie and cheesymite croissant! A must visit!

First time having pastries as a dine-in option - just couldn’t resist how welcoming and aesthetic the cafe was! Their pastries and baked goods selection are diverse and equally delicious! Idk why they aren’t on the billboards or magazines bc they make the BEST PASTRIES, both savoury and sweet and I have explored most bakeries in Melbourne.YOU MUST GET THEIR WELSH RAREBIT CROISSANT NO BUTSWelsh rarebit croissant (5/5): like an advanced form of an ham cheese croissant. So much flavour, smokiness, texture and creamy cheesy goodness. I think the black sesame on top gave it that extra tick of approval. Had a bit of a zing from the beer and mustard to elevate the flavours, which keeps you wanting more!Almond croissant (4/5): As a self proclaimed almond croissant connoisseur, defs rate their almond croissant well above standard. Delicious frangipane, with good amount of spice and generously crusted almonds. Found that icing on top a bit excessive, bc I believe that almond croissant is perfect as is. More crispy than flakey as I’d like, but super buttery and flavourful. Ask for it heated up, achieves that ideal flakiness. Huge for $8.9!Ham & cheese croissant bomb (5/5): speechless. This one, on the other hand, flakiness, butteriness, flavour was flawless. To hide inside ham and cheese in this pastry shape and maintain that flakiness, this one beats Lune’s ham and cheese croissant. Wish they made this a permanent option at the counter! Heard their vegemite cheese bomb is good too if you like vegemite!Sprinkle cupcake (4.5/5): such a cute and perfect cupcake. Any kid would want this, even if it meant us returning back to childhood. Buttercream was perfect, and the sprinkles were just so beautifully topped. Cake was a bit dense but I think it’s supposed to be like that. I was in love!Lemon curd pistachio frangipane and raspberry danish (5/5): another perfect 10 for me. Not a fan of raspberry desserts, but when infused with lemon and pistachio well, it takes the flavour to another level. That pastry, again, is so buttery and flakey.Mortadella, napoli & salsa verde focaccia (4.25/5): focaccia is so fluffy and airy, with a ever so slight crispy edge. Not a fan of tomato paste but they didn’t add to much and allowed all the other elements to sing together. I’m such a fan of how they can bake every pastry to such perfection. One of the highlights is certainly how attentive the staff are, and really making sure your experience is just how you’d like it to be. Thanks again and most definitely will be back.Food: 4.5/5Value: 4.5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 5/5

My favourite cafe in Kew, with great coffee, lovely service and delicious baked goods. The only thing is it gets quite noisy but some would say adds to the vibe!

Outstanding cakes and patisseries. Coffee is good too. Such a treat for special occasions, but any occasion is worth the visit. Not only do their cakes look amazing, they're fresh and delicious.

First time visiting this place and was impressed at the variety even during lockdown. Though the croissant was good, it was average. The almond croissant was refreshing with a dash of lemon zest??? My favourite was the cinnamon bun! So crispy and delicious after heating up in the oven.I really liked the brioche too, except the free range egg in the description is raw. Which is perfectly fine if I am not pregnant. Had to bake it in the oven for a bit longer so I can consume it. Luckily there were heaps of cheese, so was still yum afterwards. Overall we will definitely be visiting here again.

I paid $20 for 2 bitter coffees and a biscuit. The coffees had way to much milk in them for a flat white. The biscuit is simply not worth $7 the size of a coffee lid.Surcharge as well was included.Poor customer service experience. Need to improve in this area tremendously.

I won’t be the first to comment about the staffs’ behavior. Not exactly kind to Asians or minorities. Tend to pretend to not understand my friend’s accent just because she’s Asian. Honey she has the most American accent one can imagine. Management of the shop, please get some training for your employees regarding respecting all ethnicities and culture. Please do not let either the minorities or tourists think you guys are the representation of Australia. Coffee’s good food’s ok. Whilst my friend isn’t mad since she expected that behavior but it is disappointing to witness the ugly discriminative attitude from your cafe.Update - to respond to owner’s comment: just because you have a diverse team it doesn’t mean you will never have unconscious bias. Post my comment another person too commented the unconscious bias from your cafe. Again, I’m not the first and will not be the last to recognize the behaviors. If you’re not willing to address the lack of awareness you team has, then so be it. It is fine to recognize we have unconscious bias and figure ways to learn along the way. But blatantly play the diverse card to feel good isn’t the most gracious attitude.
