Goodbyes

I have just rung to find out about my clothes that were on consignment to be told they were donated to a charity.To say I am less than impressed is quite clear, at no time did I think that would happen without a courtesy email...as is common business practice. Have the staff explain to you ALL the different conditions and highlight key dates.

Goodbyes is an excellent store for shopping unique, sustainable fashion finds. The store offers affordable deals on trendy items and provides an ethical shopping experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the store is aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for stylish and environmentally conscious shopping options.

I visited goodbyes for the first time today. Was really impressed with the brands and prices. Will be back

I can’t recommend goodbyes strongly enough. With an essentially Sydney Road vibe, the staff are really helpful and know what people are looking for. Ignore the gender division of labels and browse through everything. We have bought and sold here on a regular level. They carry everything from top end to high street labels. Prices are realistic with significant discount on stock that has been there over a month. And did I say the staff are very helpful

Staff work their socks off and are friendly and kind. Always had a positive experience selling.

Great range of designer pieces but the prices are steep for the quality of the garments.

The consignment thrift model is a lovely idea and I love shopping here. The stuff in the window is always slaying. The vibes are always chill inside. The remodel is stellar. Phenomenal posters around Brunswick too. I’ve never brought clothes in to try to sell myself.

So extremely overpriced!!!! Not even Depop has become this capitalised. Shopping second hand shouldn’t cost more than buying something new

I love this store & I really admire Goodbyes as a company. However, when someone is looking to sell, I think staff should be more mindful and considerate.I gave in some items for inspection today (2 of which I had previously bought from this store). All my items were rejected. The woman I spoke with explained that my items were too summery/not in season. And that they were very particular about trainers? Not sure what that means - the trainers I brought in today, I had bought from the store 2/3 weeks ago.I think describing someone's clothes as 'not in season' can be taken very personally. Reflecting on my experience, I definitely left the store today feeling down.I completely understand why you can't/don't accept all items of clothing and I also understand that the shop is now entering a new season and therefore must follow those trends and styles. Even writing this review makes me feel a bit silly because I really do understand all the above. But maybe there is a better way to communicate this with customers?I hope this is useful feedback and just to clarify the woman who I spoke with today did nothing wrong whatsoever. I think just being more mindful when turning away people's clothes.I will 100% continue to support Goodbyes & I hope this was helpful feedback.
