Excellent facilities, well-trained dentists and assistants, and helpful front desk staff make for a professional service in a great central city location. My dentist is Alvin Shee, who is a skilled and compassionate dentist, committed to the best solutions to my dental issues. I am completely confident in Dr. Shee and always have a good outcome. Some recent dental implants were a big project that Alvin handled with great care, and the outcome is quite frankly life-changing. New implants to replace some lost molars has made a big difference to the way I can eat! I have tried other dentists, only to find that Alvin is worth the trip into town.

Great reception staff and nice location. Dental side of it was fairly professional when it came to the work itself, though the dentist was very patronising and blunt. Started off by shaming me about not visiting in over a year even though we were in lockdown for most of this year. I was then given 3 instructions for future care of my teeth and although I'm an educated 23 year old, I was told to repeat the steps back to [the dentist] just to make sure you understand". I know that dentists often deal with lying patients and there is generally no easy way to tell someone to floss properly

Highly recommend James Medera at this clinic! Been seeing him for 4 years and always love going in for a visit. James is super friendly, we always have a great catch up, and he takes awesome care of my teeth. Could not ask for a better experience. My other family members also love going to visit him as their dentist too! :)

I went here yesterday to get a filling. The reception staff and dental nurse were lovely. However my appointment with Dr Mahmoud Metwally was not as pleasant. I'm sure he is good at his job, I don't really know as my appointment had been shortened due to a delay in the previous, and therefore was told I was unable to get my filling in this appointment. It cost me about $85 for the appointment and the test to check which teeth need to be filled. I'm not upset about that cost, but am upset I'll have to pay yet another consultation fee on top of approx $215 for the filling. However, I didn't express any concerns in my appointment, but that didn't prevent the dentist from telling me off. He told me off for incorrectly identifying between 1 and 10 the level of discomfort I was in, I can only describe from what I know, so maybe 1 to 10 isn't the most effective method maybe asking if it hurts as much as x since it seemed to really annoy you.I also got lectured for booking a 30 minute emergency booking (I have no idea what he is talking about as I did it through health engine and they just show you what's available not what type of appointment it is). He said 30 minutes is not long enough and made me feel like it was my fault, he should be happy he's making even more money out of me. What was weird though was when I went to reception she booked next week's appointment (which I'm about to cancel and go to melbourne dentist clinic instead as I've heard good things) and she said it was 30 minutes. So is this standard or emergency? I don't know.

This review is long overdue. We brought our 5yo here for a 2nd opinion and was seen by James Medera. What was meant to be an awfully expensive dental plan recommended by another dentist from a different practice, we decided to do our due diligence to get an independent professional opinion and very glad we did.James planned our daughter's treatment over several smaller appointments so that it would not be too daunting for her. She had a tooth extraction done on the chair with just some local anesthetic and this was done meticulously. Despite being an arduous process and all the tears from my 5yo, she still managed to sit through it and came out of it fine. She is still stoked to go for her dental visits and is comfortable with her dentist. Thanks James.

Once you have been there your first time and know how to find it, it's a great dentist! I have been going here for years and have never had to wait for my appointment, have a great dentist and so far it has always been covered by my health insurance!

Have been attending this clinic for four years. Staff are excellent. Never have to wait as they run on time. Send reminders before the appointment so I don’t forget and my teeth have never been better.

Priceyyyyy! I came here for a check up and was provided with a treatment plan and quote for some dental work that was more expensive than I expected (over $4000), so I went to two other dentists for second opinions. Second opinion #1 came out at half the price of Australian Unity Dental Centre, and second opinion #2 came out at 1/3 the price! So unless you're cashed up, I recommend going elsewhere.
