Port Campbell Flashpackers

Port Campbell Flash Packers and Guest House is a great place to stay if you are planning to visit the Great Ocean Road. Situated right in the middle of the main supermarket and village it is at at a great location. Right next to it, there is a small museum and a big playground, along with a tennis court and a BBQ. There is also a restaurant and bar that stays open till late. The Port Campbell Foreshore and Jetty are located within 500 meters and is a nice place for kayaking, canoeing, picnicking or just a swim. But best of all, the magical Twelve Apostles is located within 10 minutes drive! Mark is a great host and the rooms are reasonably sized and are very comfortable. Sharing a kitchen and bathrooms isn't at all that bad and the bathrooms are unexpectedly clean. There are towels and some toiletries provided and the kitchen is fully equipped with all gadgets andutensils, though the owner should consider occasionally replacing the gadgets such as the toaster and pans as they appear very old and a little displeasing.Overall, it's a nice place to come and stay if you are planning to visit the Great Ocean Road.

Such a convenient location to stay whilst doing the great ocean road and a 5 minute walk to the local restaurants and supermarket. The guesthouse was kept so clean. Mark and JJ were the best hosts and were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We felt like we were at home with mark and would definitely recommend to anyone going to port campbell! Great base to have on the Great Ocean Road. We had the front bedroom in the main, original and beautifully restored, house. A really comfy bed in ours and impressive local art on the walls too. Mark & Ange were great hosts and they had loads of info on the local area too. Highly recommended.

Great find in Port Campbell. The main house we stayed in is one of the town’s original fisherman’s cottages which is renovated in keeping with the authenticity of the place. Mark & Ange are great local hosts who know the area & it’s history. The bed was super comfortable too, which goes a long way after a day on the road.

Had a great and funny stay here a few weeks ago, after day one of cycling the great ocean road. Clean place & great breakfast to start the next day. The owner is very friendly, funny & helpful, got several great hints of him and his friends how to continue travelling & what's worth seeing on the way. Thanks for that! Nice backpacker, everything is clean and Mark is very kind. The breakfast is provided, toasts and coffee. Only one negative point, no heater in our room and in winter it's a little bit fresh at night time ... But I slept well even without it.

Stayed one night, host is relaxed and friendly, the house is very charming and comfortable.I highly recommend.

At least three of the guest rooms are accessed from the living room/kitchen. Hostels usually have a separare common area. This can lead to noise and smells coming into your room. Good location.

Amazing place! We booked super last minute and when we arrived (around 6pm) Mark was waiting for us with the fireplace going. The room was comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. The kitchen was fully outfitted with pots/pans/condiments/etc. The rooms all had locks on them and there was plentiful parking outside as well. The price was also amazing and a great deal. 10/10 recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay while driving the Great Ocean Road.

Clean and quiet guesthouse with a great little common kitchen to cook meals in. Excellent location with just walking distance towards the beautiful lookouts from cliffs to sea and towards the town itself.Hosts are excellent people, doing what they can to make our stay much more comfortable. The living area is complete with sofas, magazines, coffee table, and a TV for those lazy days inside.Super convenient! There's a general store in town to get the essentials, from bread to eggs, to butter, jams, cheeses, pasta ingredients, wines...etc... it isn't really cheap but if you're prepared, you'll bring your own supplies. Otherwise, all the other restaurants and cafes are about 5 mins walk from the guesthouse.Highly recommended stay! Will definitely be back!
