Thanks to the lovely staff for obliging a random men's haircut on a Saturday arvo! The haircut not only looked good it felt better too, like a weight off my shoulders, kinda cathartic ;) The entrance is tucked inside the Star complex, right at the end past the Star Grand Hotel, physically near corner of Jones Bay Rd although you can't access it by that road, you have to go into the complex :) Highly recommended for your hairdressing needs! Also, covid safe :)

The best hair and makeup I’ve had done for an event in a very long time! Everyone in salon were attentive, very friendly, efficient and talented at what they do. Makeup used is of high quality and felt fabulous on my skin the entire night. I loved the whole experience and walked out feeling very glam for an awards night. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

A beautifully presented salon, Dušanka is an amazing stylist, a true professional, her care & attention to detail shines through at each visit. The salon is always up to date with the latest International beauty/hair trends, they stock several Vegan & cruelty free hair & nail products which I absolutely love! I have always left the salon looking & feeling amazing! :)

I had the privilege of having lovely Jo do my hair late on a Sunday afternoon for an event that night. I mentioned I should’ve booked her to also do my makeup. By scheduling luck, she was able to accommodate this request and also did an awesome full glam make up look in about 30 mins. The look needed something else and she recommended the perfect earrings which I bought at the salon.I was really impressed with her professionalism, talent and eye for detail. Left the salon with gorgeous hair & makeup and feeling like a million bucks. Thank you Jo, will be back and would highly recommend to others!

Do you want that feeling of bouncy, freshly styled hair? Don’t go to this place. After having a toner and a trim my hair was dried and not styled and simply to be told “Finished” and charged $220. Ohh and wasn’t offered a water or anything and usually upper class beauty salons have a drinks menu and this one had nothing. Iwas gobsmacked as I wasn’t even asked how I would like my hair styled. Not to discredit the service completely the hairdresser cut exactly the amount I requested. Mediocre and Amateur are the best way to describe it.

I used to be a regular customer but couldn't afford the high price of their services so switched to a different salon. I decided to book with them after about a 9 month hiatus because they were the only De Lorenzo salon with availability at short notice (Christmas period). Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the whole experience. It felt as if they had tried to fit in too many appointments and the stylists looked flat out and stressed. To be fair, I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment but I didn't realise they had moved location. I think this is something that could have been communicated at the time of booking, especially where staff are aware they are booking in a past customer. The lady at the desk was standing there not doing much while the stylists were run off their feet. I noticed she came over and told my stylist his next client had arrived half an hour ago... Not sure why she couldn't have assisted given how busy they were by alerting him when the client first arrived. Also nobody offered me a coffee like they usually do, and I didn't want to ask because all the staff were so busy (except the lady at the front desk who I think could have at least assisted with such tasks) and my appointment was already taking much longer than usual (3 hours total with long periods of me just waiting and falling asleep). The stylist I got (not my usual stylist) kept pulling my hair as he applied the dye and styled it afterward, and then rushed the styling so my hair was still damp in places and looked fluffy/frizzy. The dye was also on my hair for over an hour due to my stylist running way behind on time and trying to attend to too many clients at the same time. They then expected me to pay more than I've ever paid at this particular salon, $270 for a permanent colour, a one length trim and hasty blow-dry. Not worth the money at all. When I mentioned this, the stylist looked up my history of similar but lower priced appointments and charged me the $270 anyway. Normally I would prefer to address these issues in person but I was trying to be considerate of the next client who had already been waiting approx 45 minutes with nothing done to her hair, and I didn't get the impression any of the staff had the time or interest in my feedback. I will not be back!

An absolutely fabulous team of seriously experienced hairdressers in colour and styling that has made the world of difference to restoring my faith in hairdressering since I've been attending, after a very bad experience elsewhere. Five stars!

This is the most phenomenal salon in Sydney. Best blow dry in the universe. The staff in here hit the balance between exceptional execution and an authentic welcoming experience. A rare find in Sydney. They are passionate, knowledgable, professional and play the long game with clients and keep you coming back again and again because they always deliver. It's a rare find where all staff are equally talented, while incredibly busy they move mountains to get you booked in and they all celebrate the hair transformations and work like a true team across clients that come in. My hair has truly transformed in the time I have been coming to his salon in the past year. Could not recommend it higher - and my first Google review of all time because they are deserving.

I have been going to Dush for over 7 years now and I highly recommend this place. I have curly hair and when I first arrived in Australia, I went to a few different salons and they ruined my lovely locks. The minute I stepped into Star Hair and Beauty, Dush and Nikki were so welcoming and they put me to ease. The entire team at Star and Hair Beauty are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My hair is in the best condition. I get compliments on my hair all the time and it's all thanks to Dush and the team. Dush also did my hair on my wedding day, something I will never forget. I always feel at home when I go to her salon. I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else. Thanks team, keep up the good work and see you at my next appointment. Jamie
