It’s a great place to have a few drinks and starters. Fantastic view, space and hotel level services are what makes TWR special.I enjoy having a few beers with some tasty starters at TWR and just chill. The standard of service is high so do expect the menu to showcase high prices.I had the Beef tartare dip and Parmesan chips and they were delicious. They also provide free live entertainment and the sound is always in tune. For these reasons I give this place 3 bears

Below average. I sat down anywhere I likedIt was quite empty..Ordered a drink, only for the wait staff to return after ten minutes and advise me what I ordered is $xx per glass. I said I didn't ask you to tell me how much it was per glass I asked for a cocktail. Where is my drink? Not to mention I was given a glass with a dirty lipstick mark on the rim. Disgusting.

Burger was decent nothing wrong with it tbh. Just felt a little pricey @ $34. Service was fairly cold and dry. Alfresco area is nice though to sit and wait. Hence the name and the amount of people on laptops.

Walking in 9:45 pm, there’s nothing to eat at all, not even sweets to offer as the kitchen closes 10 .. which wasn’t 10pm even, although the place closes 11:00 PMThe drinks that we requested were luke warm.. not even hot .. they had to redo them. You would think crown is open till late, that was the only place open Sunday night at that time

Amazing place to chill and have a few drinks with mates.Managers seem to be onboard and staff are nice and friendly.had instances I was waiting on drinks but nothing to crazy (15mins) as it makes sense as the night was busy and there seemed to be only 2 bartenders behind the bar.Had a lot of food too club sandwich, croque monsieur, charcuterie plate, Sydney rock oysters and a raspberry sable for dessert. Each dish was superb. If I could rate higher I would.

I love this place (TWR) because of the waitress Kristen. She stops and chats, she’s funny and attentive, she really epitomizes customer service. She is a huge asset to this hotel!!

I went there for a late lunch and it was… well… okay. Location is nice (in the fancy Crown) and at some point that was live music.Food was good but nothing to write home about (I had veggie chips and crab linguine). On the minus side, I waited more than one hour to get the main dish and I had to chase the waiters for it - never a good experience.I’m assuming this was n exception though and beyond that the service was excellentAlso not a big fan of the non-live music while eating on the terrasse, but that’s just me I guess.I’d probably recommend this place more for having drinks in a fancy place with good service than for having a excellent lunch / dinner experience. Given the price, it’s a bit of a bummer.

After having a lovely anniversary dinner at a restaurant within the crown complex, we decided to end our evening with an after dinner drink after just walking past TWR.I never feel the need to leave bad reviews, and honour establishments that offer a high quality of service and excellence. We weren’t greeted at the the door so simply walked in and the bar staff showed us to table. The maítre d then brought over some drinks menus. All fairly standard. Then proceeded to tell us quite aggressively that ‘next time.. wait at the door’ and walked off.So we obliged by walking away.Regardless of how you perceive your patrons based on their image (we were dressed very conservatively!) we were very upset to be treated with disdain when we were happy to pay above average prices for drinks.Rude service for no reason was not a nice end to our evening.I hope your staff can be a little more accommodating and friendly to customers in future.

A BUNCH OF BULLIES.We had some espresso martinis and my wife & I wanted to pay for ours and our friend wanted to pay for hers. The staff said NO SPLIT BILLS. Several supervisors and TWO security guards later I stood firm and said we want to pay the bill but your no split bills policy is not acceptable, which isn't anywhere to be seen as a condition of entry, so unexpected until you want to pay. I said call the police if you want but they will laugh at you. We all felt bullied and embarrassed by their approach and they finally relented and split the bill. Even the bloke across the road in the local cafe can split a bill. It's not rocket science. This place is an absolute disgrace in how they treat their customers for such a simple and expected issue.I will not go back to this place and I advise you not to spend your money with them.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Made a in-house reservation for 4 adults & 4 kids.Had 2 afternoon tea sets for 4 adults and 2 chips for 2 kids :The fries were great, served crispy. The afternoon tea set were well presented and at “eatable” level, guess this is made for photo taking. Scones were dried.Service: not recommend to those who would like to go with kids & toddlers. The baby chair is dirty, dirt & food stains on it, the server first set a broken baby chair for me. Need to do the cleaning twice before I could took my seat.No idea why a 5 stars hotel named their afternoon tea as “High Tea”, wonder the menu designer knew the meaning of high tea and the difference between low tea & afternoon tea. But this fits with the hotel style - shallow.
