Worst college to join for nursing. They seem more money oriented than teaching students, failing students instead of helping them, wasting a whole year of students for silly mistakes and just one point even if you get more than 50 overall and still failing. This uni is very easy to join but you will get stuck here for a long time in nursing.

This seems more like a party university. Of course, if you study well, you can get a qualification. But unlike ANU, you won't be very well supported and won't really gain in-depth knowledge in the field. And you won't be surrounded by bright and enthusiastic students who push you to do your best.Reply to owner:Thank-you for your response. First, I must clarify: my reason for posting this review was to inform prospective students of what to expect of UC. I had only very brief experience with UC in the software engineering program but quickly found out that teachers, despite enthusiasm, were simply not ready to deliver the high-quality of teaching I expected based on the UC website. This was confirmed when I transferred to ANU and quickly realised how much I had been missing.Furthermore, I am very concerned about the quality of teaching in the Nursing degree program; while graduates might rank the quality of teaching highly, I have been a registered nurse with Canberra Hospital for the past 10 years and have mentored at least 20 students from UC and ACU at varying points in their course. There is a very noticeable difference in the competence of the students, ACU being the clear winner on every occasion. I'm sad to see this because the students themselves are very eager but I think they are hamstrung by the lack of clear direction in their training at UC, specifically, they aren't being taught how to *think* critically, in the context of being a nurse. Despite voicing my concerns to their CLNs over the past years, I have yet to see any improvement.Regarding the statistics:UC does not crack the top 20 Universities in Australia. And it isn't in the top 500 in the world.Regarding employability, Canberra is a small city with only 2 universities based solely in Canberra. Given that most of your graduates are in healthcare, the highest employer in Canberra, it's no wonder most of your graduates get jobs.Compared to ANU which has courses ranging from theoretical physics to Chinese studies, fields that don't employ many people. It's good that students can have fun; my point, again, is that prospective students should not expect serious, high-quality education from UC. Instead expect a party" university. I'm not saying this is a bad thing necessarily

Was interested in the Juris Doctor course. I filled out the online form to have someone contact me. That was 2 days ago and I’ve heard nothing. I tried calling them and couldn’t get through. I chose the option to have a callback when an advisor was free but no one called me back. I guess I’ll go to another university.

The UC Hospital is a modern facility with four wards/units plus several other sections dedicated to rehabilitation and research of that. It is part of the overall ACT Health system, with the research added.

Ensuring quality education and prioritising the experience of the students is bottom of the list for the UC. I recommend enrolling into a higher ranked University, it’s worth doing the research.

My child was meant to do her masters degree. After promising for months it would all go ahead it was cancelled 2 days prior to commencement. My child had given up full time employment to undertake this. Was told 3 days prior to commencement that all was going ahead. Could not care less about my child’s situation. Perhaps if my child was not aboriginal they would have cared more. I wouldn’t send my dog to this place. Disgraceful institution

The university (popular as “UC”) has a great atmosphere and it caters to both the domestic and international students. With a disarming set of faculties and facilities, it is one of the best in Australia.I am undergoing my two year masters here and I am having a good time.

Recently prepared for azure certifications and found lots of issues with the course structure. Compared with other universities such as UWA and UNSW, the data science degree fails to include some key courses. Instead, it includes some useless compulsory units such as AR/VR. To be honest, the uni more looks like a super TAFE rather than a University. If you do want to become a professional rather than getting jobs in Costco or KFC, you need to go to universities that teach you something useful or choose boot camp instead.

Completely useless institution for a supposedly being the national university. Their lecturers and tutors don't speak English. Scream at their students in lectures, make them feel stupid, and oh all the material is online tutorials written and answered already. The children are then told to read books. Thanks for putting thousands of potential Canberrans in debt over nothing. Chumps.

Impressive facility with amble and easy access to disabled parking. Being a rehab facility, it had wide corridors, doorways that were wife enough for wheelchairs. I was impressed with the electronic clocks outside rooms that appear to have booking details. Just did not understand why there was a main reception, which direct you to another reception to check-in for appointment and then you go to another waiting room.
