Small store on a quiet part of Magill Road. A good find for Japanese and Thai fusion. The Karaage was crispy and tender and flavoursm. Gyoza was subtly tasty with very soft gyoza skin. Crispy on one side. Duck curry was creamy and you can choose different levels of spicyness. Decent amount of duck meat in it and quite a few pineapples in it too. Truffle fried rice was so good, could taste the truffle in it. Unique and addictive. The soft shell crab was a good texture and it tasted good. The rolls were also good and was crunchy. Quite a decent portion. Overall a good find for a nice quiet dinner.

Amazing set menu. Japanese dishes with a Thai influence. I can’t believe I will have to fly 30+ hours to get back to this place. It’s so good and fresh (and the pricing is so affordable). It made me rethink about living in Canada and how good the food is in Adelaide esp this restaurant!

This one really has been chosen by coincidence on Google which made me curious, last dinner before we leaving Adelaide and that was beyond our expectations! We ordered tofu, fried rice with eel, chef selection of sashimi and sushi, for the dessert we had mango with sticky rice. Highly recommend eel fried rice and sushi and the dessert, dine in not too many customers and feels like they have more take away orders. Hope we will come back soon and enjoy!

Fantastic little restaurant. Friendly staff. Great value for lunch. Everything made fresh and tasty. Love their teriyaki chicken which was a bit crispy. Also the eggplant side dish was delicious.

Love this place! The sticky pork hock and apple is an all-time favourite with a delightful clash of balanced flavours and textures. Such an outstanding dish that we order it very visit. The crunchy salmon roll is another favourite with amazing layers of flavours and textures. Beef tataki and the fried rice are lovely too :)

We tried the sushi, teriyaki chicken and eel truffled fried rice and everything was so yummy. Food is worth the price. Costumer service was exceptional and at the end the chef came over to ask how everything was, how cool isn't it?

What a fantastic find! Been meaning to try this place for ages so I'm really glad to finally be able to. The place was quite small but luckily being a Sunday night there were still tables available despite not booking prior.Staff were really friendly and attentive. A generous selection of Thai and Japanese food on offer. We ordered salmon rolls, mushroom karaage, miso eggplant, sashimi, prawn red curry and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli.The mushroom karaage was juicy and moreish. Two things that would have made it absolutely perfect are probably seasoned flour/batter and a bit more mayonnaise to go with it. Having said that, it was one of our favourites of the night so it is very good as it is.Miso eggplant (nasu dengaku) was absolutely heavenly, I wish I could have that on tap every day! Delicious and very well balanced, perfect with steaming hot rice. The fluffy and flavourful morsels of eggplant were an absolute delight. This was my personal favourite, although I'd have to say the mushroom tempura and sashimi were both pretty good!The sashimi selection was also fantastic. Very fresh and worth what you pay for. I only wish for more stomach space so that I can gobble up more of it. The fish slices were the perfect bite, not too thin, not too thick, just perfect. Very fresh and of good quality. I especially loved the addition of oysters, scampi and scallops. Made the whole dish really come together nicely.The red prawn curry and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli paled in comparison to the others, however they were still decent. The curry was rather stock standard, yummy regardless. The pork belly pieces were fatty and crispy, and the Chinese broccoli was also perfectly cooked. Only gripe was that the sauce was a tad bit too salty so it took away from what otherwise would have an amazing dish.We were there in the evening so parking wasn't an issue, however I can imagine it being something to consider during peak hours.All in all a very good experience and I will definitely return to try more of their yummy offerings!

I recently visited Half & Hafu and was thoroughly impressed with the food and service. I ordered the chicken karaage, wagyu hot pot, and sashimi and was blown away by the flavors. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience even better. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a friendly atmosphere.

Excellent value. You will never leave this place hungry. The set menu was fantastic. Was a shame that most likely due to the time of year we went they were lacking staff.They certainly made up for that with their earnest and friendly approach.When we mentioned some issues with the meals they immediately fixed things for us.Docked a point off the food as they had a few things on their menu that was unavailable. But don't get me wrong the food that they served tasted fantastic.Must try.
