Amazing bread and pastries. Their sourdough is absolutely delicious, and wide range of pastry options are also super great. You'd be remiss to not drop in here if you're taking a trip to, or passing through Portland.

Delicious and highly recommended. It was closed when I rocked up but the baker opened up and I managed to snag a good closing deal.

Absolutely brilliant food. My wife said these were the best croissants outside of Paris. The bread is amazing, the staff are friendly and really know their stuff. I only wish that they were open every day.If you’re in Portland and they’re open, do yourself a favour and buy something delicious from them.

Our family absolutely love The Bakehouse. As a Portland Local, we are so lucky to have such an amazing family run bakery. Where do I start…..The staff are absolutely amazing, they are always happy to see you and ask you about your day. They believe that the kids should get started on the “good stuff” from a young age and always offer the children a piece of Sourdough bread.The staff love showing you what is available and are always happy to help you find something that will hit the spot.The bread and pastries are absolutely amazing and are on point every time. I have never had a bad experience at The Bakehouse and I love trying the huge variety of foods that they have on offer.100% recommend, if you’re a local or just passing through.

To think that this humble little bakery in Portland produces only the finest pastries!My favourite is definitely the sour cherry tart but a couple honorable mentions are the savoury ham cheese croissants and the orange cinnamon morning buns.Super lucky to have this local bakery!

Wonderful pastries and all taste so good. Especially the ham and cheese crossiant and Portuguese tart. Must try when visiting Portland. Service was impeccable too.

Very small but authentic bakery with very nice croissants and morning buns. The savoir-faire is clearly there and although I did think it was on the pricier side, it is definitely worth more than any other bakeries on the high street.

Wandering around the city and passing by the bakery, popped in and, was so nicely surprised with the presentation, choices and quality of each product. Took me a time to make a decision and, everything was absolutely delicious. The best bakery I’ve ever attended. Please, open your business in Adelaide.
