Berkeley Vale Care Community

Tracey and Kristy have made the transition so easy and comfortable for not only mum but also my family. All the nursing staff have been amazing and caring mum has a better quality of life since being at Opal.

My cousin was recently admitted and we cannot fault the competent and compassionate care shown to all of us, the admin team - namely Tracey and Christie for their ever present courtesy and care. In fact all staff have been extremely friendly, polite and go the extra mile. The rooms are faultless, clean, well maintained and positioned well throughout the village providing a good and healthy outlook to the gardens. Our cousin has been to 3 retirement homes and has declared this is the best by far, she claims there is absolutely nothing to complain about, she is treated with the utmost respect and care.

Both of my parents, with varying stages of dementia, are in Berkeley Vale Care Community. All the staff are amazing and treat them as they are part of their family. They are very accommodating with my parents needs and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs the extra care for their family members who need care.

Where to start? My beloved 69 year old Dad was a resident here for only a short time before sadly his time with us ended. Some of the most caring people I have ever met work here at this village... too many beautiful people to name (Narelle, Nadine, Bri and Bree, Lorraine, Leanne, Anu + so many more!) Its always a hard decision to place a family member into a nursing home but ultimately you know its the most loving thing you can do, especially when you are not equipped with the specific nursing skills they require. I am so glad I chose Opal Berkeley Vale, from his beautiful, private, sun drenched room to delicious meals and loving staff... I give them 5 stars and more. The staff were very friendly and made the whole experience comfortable. It was a very good way to engage community members. Overall I felt very comfortable and that I was in good hands. I also appreciate all of the precautions taken to ensure COVID-19 health standards were met.

We have been very happy with the care our mother has received while residing at Opal Berkeley Vale. She has been shown kindness and compassion by the nursing staff and the Admin staff have made what could have been a difficult process, easy and straightforward for our family.

I would not recommend to anyone. Used this for respite as relative was recovering from operation. Our experience was terrible. Duty of care disgraceful. Follow up action -nilOther peoples medications used and out date for my relative.The list of negatives is endless. Nothing positive about this place. Our elderly citizens deserve to be treated with dignify and respect. Shame on the management Please look at other alternatives.Don’t be fooled by first contact and how friendly they appear. Once your in it all changes. And this was just for 6 weeks respite. My relative was deeply affected emotionally by this place.

Moving our Dad into aged care continues to be the hardest decision we have ever had to make. However, together with the truly caring office staff, Tracey & Kristy, who help with all of our enquiries, the lovely nursing staff who attend to my Dad’s needs each day, and with food that he always enjoys, we feel confident that we have found a facility in Berkeley Vale Care Community, that really does genuinely care about him and all of their residents.
