State child development centre is very helpful and have coped with all of my children and very happy with there support during the years spent with them and kind thanks to Jo Wattson Audiologist

GP from Spearwood here. I contacted the Centre to get some help for a patient. Unfortunately they are >16yo so does not meet their intake requirements however Clinical Nurse Specialist Barbara Kennedy provided the most excellent service with going out of her way to provide me with resources and suggestions for the family. I am really grateful. It is such a challenging time at the moment with huuuge waitlists for private developmental paediatricians and the flow on of stretching the limited services we do have in the public system.

Super friendly and helpful doctor. Centre was very organised and not busy. Highly recommended

Very disappointed. My son is Developmentally delayed. Long waits for different assessments and then long waits to see certain specialist. You will call for an appointment to see someone and then they won't even get back to you.

There’s no consistency with this clinic. Every appointment we were greeted with a new and different paediatrician. We were promised a referral to an external service which was never put through.. this was two years ago and my child has experienced severe setbacks with his conditions.Disgraceful and would recommend to avoid.

None of the staff know how to answer phones & will purposely mess you around, hang up on you and cant be bothered making appointments for you. Absolutely shocking service for a place that's supposed to help.

Pretty unhappy with the service here. Can never get through to anyone, never have missed calls returned and there's never any consistency with appointments too. They cancel after long waits for an appointment sometimes. And the doctors always change every time we visit (every 6 months or so)My son is out of his prescription and has been a few weeks now. He is really struggling and needs to be seen for a new assessment I feel, as he is also dealing with some anxiety issues and brain fog. I'm actually quite worried about his mental health. I understand he needs another review in order to get prescriptions as he hasn't been able to be seen properly for a while due to covid (Only telehealth appointments which are pretty slack for assessments anyway in my opinion)However they can only offer appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays which are the days I work and only have one doctor on there??And I can't get him in for 6 weeks to be seen anyway via telehealth because they're so booked out??? So now my son is going to be without an assessment and medication for a further 6 weeks which is really impacting him.During busy times since they only have one doctor on especially and due to covid hold ups, there really should be some exceptions and extra help put in place. And they should send out prescriptions to go on with if they can't fit anyone in for weeks for a review. Children stopping medication abruptly can actually be very dangerous! Can cause major issues and sometimes even suicidal tendencies. It's actually really not ok!Also the secretary I spoke to was really rude and insensitive when I was trying to explain that my son is really not doing well at the moment. Being spoken to so rudely is really the last thing I need when I am already stressed.The whole Public health system is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Not very helpful at all and pretty slack! We can't afford to cut corners and be slack with our children's well-being.Do better.

Within the limitations placed on them (time and resource constraints), the practitioners here are great. The paediatricians go above and beyond and seem to see our child and our family as real people, which is awesome.

We have had mostly positive experiences here, but I need to add a comment specifically about Dr Wray (paediatrician). Within a system under an enormous amount of pressure, he was genuinely concerned, warm, empathetic and patient. He took the extra time to explain in a way I understood and confirm that I was ok with the plan.
