Laura Cotton Designs

Laura Cotton Designs helped me redesign and migrate when my webhost ceased support. I had an outdated website and hundreds of images to migrate. I was overwhelmed by the task and procrastinated on finding a new website host until 4 months before my then host shut down my site.Adobe Business Catalyst recommended several potential hosts and I researched and contacted two. Once I met with Oncord (web host) and Laura Cotton Designs (web designer) I felt Immediately that they understood my needs and were able to bring my site live before the deadline.I worked with Laura Cotton to map out my needs and she prepared a proposal/contract that was comprehensive and reasonable. Once signed, she went to work immediately to bring over the hundreds of images of my artworks. Her design was efficient and elegant. The approval process was a dream, any tweaks I requested were accomplished quickly and graciously (even though they had not been specified by me in the original specs).I am an artist, not a coder, and though I have a rudimentary understanding of how programs work, and even worked in the computer industry at one time, it is not my strength. While others I talked to about this project were very condescending and almost parental, Laura supplied the knowledge and skills I lacked but never talked down to me. I felt like we were a team with a mutual interest in bringing the project in on time.Once completed, Laura created several tutorials that showed me how to add posts and update my website myself.While under the pressure of a deadline, my experience was pleasant and Laura did a huge amount of work in a very short time. I am very satisfied with the result. All my artwork and content were migrated and I am able to maintain the site myself. Laura Cotton Designs is a gem and I was lucky to find it.
