Fairymead House Sugar Museum
Lovely home, relocated from a sugar plantation. Home includes the history of sugar growing in the area. Including companies that manufactured machinery to harvest the cane. Bought the ticket deal for the three museums within the Botanical Gardens.

Really interesting historical displays. The sugar museum below the house is fascinating. We unfortunately only had a day to view all three locations in the area, so couldn’t spend the time reading all the info. Just viewing the house is a treat for its amazing architectural design. Plan to spend time here to fully appreciate what is on offer.

We were so very impressed with our visit today to this beautifully restored home where every wall in each room holds wonderful photos & information. This is definitely a must visit if in the area.

Definitely worth the trip if you love old houses. The house itself is spectacular and in great condition. Staff are knowledgeable and keen to share the history. Downstairs is a small museum on the history of sugar which is pretty interesting.

A quaint house with the history of sugar in the area. Buy the 3 museum pass as the other museum has so many cool things to look at too. It took an hour as I had to explain what all the household trinkets were to my 8 year old. Wish the lady manning museum 2 wasn't so rude. The third museum Hinklers had my son so interested in Bert we were kicked out at closing!

Beautiful place. Calm serene and the house has a loved feeling. There is a lift if you can't manage the stairs. Fascinating background to the families that owned the house plus other families who started businesses relating to the sugar industry.

3 kiwi brothers who wanted to 'try something different...sugar' have built a wonderful Homestead. A wonderful example of the Queenslander style of housing. The museum about sugar is informative. 3 Italians and 2 Toft brothers played big roles in Bundy sugar. Thanks for nothing Cane Toads, a good recap of the original purpose and disastrous consequences. Located in the Botanical Gardens with access through walking the park, or car parking at the front of the House. Good work to the community of Bundy for relocating the House for people to appreciate.
